My Gucci Valentines

Remember last time I mentioned in one of my posts that there was a Gucci sale going on? Well I know they held so many sale events last Holiday season but this was the last one. They never removed the “sale” bags category until half way through January of 2009. So once they got a hold of the old stocks, returned items, stocks from other boutiques, they continue to add them in the Gucci online boutique. I was so lucky that before I looked at Gucci’s website, Hubby already told me (yes, he can’t keep a secret of what he’s going to give me – or at least I always find out, hehe) he was getting me the Louis Vuitton Damier Trunks Pochette I’ve been meaning to add to my Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy 30 – like an accessory, kaartehan for Valentines Day (EDIT: My LV Damier Speedy 30 was already sold!). The small pouch costs about $280 – a price that I don’t want to pay for wholeheartedly… I mean hello, it’s just a pouch and it costs $280… double that price and you get another Louis Vuitton Speedy already! So anyway, I was so lucky because when I was doing my daily surfing of my fave sites – Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, etc., I saw newly added bags at Gucci’s online boutique!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume for Valentines

Want something cute, something sweet, and something cheap? No, it’s not cheap, meaning tasteless. It means cheap as in a more affordable gift you can buy your sweetheart for Valentines Day! Hey, that’s only 2 days from now! You gotta be kidding me if you haven’t gotten your dearie something special! So here, an easy thing to do… grab her a Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume and I promise, the moment she see’s the bottle, she’ll already be impressed.

But do you know what will make this more special? The presentation! A couple of tips… place the perfume in a very cute gift bag with perhaps a bear holding it. If she doesn’t like bears, buy a small stuff toy of her favorite pet/animal to carry the Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume. Another suggestion, prepare a steaming bubble bath with candles and petals all over the place. Then, buy some spa-quality towels to place near your tub. Place the Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume on top of the towel and write a card that says “Use me on Valentines Day…” Well, those are just a few of the mushy “stuffs” that you can do… hehe Of course, it’s up to you to be creative!

Again, here I am with some Valentines Day gift ideas. It’s February guys and you should be looking for the perfect gift to give to your loved one(s)… Now I am featuring the classic perfume/fragrance from Chanel… Hubby gave me the No. 5 last Christmas because I have been itching to get one since last year. Thanks Hun! You’re the best! It smells really good! One of the Hollywood legends made the “No. 5″ Perfume even more popular back in the days. Marilyn Monroe is that legend… and according to rumors, she even wears it to bed! Imagine? Well, if you’d like to give something special to your dear one, a Chanel perfume won’t disappoint! Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day Dinner Date at Pisces

What: Valentine’s Day Dinner Date
Where: Pisces Seafood Restaurant at Hyatt Regency Hotel
When: Feb. 14, 2008 (duh); reservation at 930 pm

So I was not expecting any special dinner as we were saving up for something big. Imagine my surprise when I discovered we were eating at a hotel. Discovered. I’ve always found out about my hubby’s surprises… On my ’07 bday, hubby and I ate at Bistro 300 Resto also located at Hyatt Regency. We (more of I) thought of eating at Pisces in the future. Based on previous exp, he always managed to take note of those kind of things in his head even if he is “Mr. Forgetful Bob”. So come next special occasion, I already know the surprise. This time though, I was so busy with work and blog and chores that I wasn’t really putting much thought on V-Day (except for what to wear). So I had no idea. But on the day itself, he kept telling me that if we cancel, he’ll be charged $50. So, that’s what made me curious. I thought we were just having dinner at Olive Garden’s, Red Lobster, or something to that effect…

What’s for (Valentine’s) Lunch?

Okay, I know I should have made Valentine’s Lunch special. But since we were set for Valentine’s Day Dinner Date later that night, and I had tons of work to do that day, I decided to go for instant food that everyone loved…

Valentine’s Day Lunch Menu:
1. Cheeeeeezzy Scrambled Eggs garnished with flower orange (no tomatoes in the fridge, improvise!)
2. Hearty spam and bacon garnished with the other half of the flower orange (very wise!)
3. The previous night’s Beef Pochero with overrrrr-ripe plantains (Never use plantain that’s too ripe! Trust me! It will dominate the taste or your dish.)

I know this is supposed to be for breakfast… but admit it, the new gen Fils love breakfast! Who doesn’t love scrambled eggs with cheese and milk, spam, and bacon? Yummy! Of course, the fashionista in me had to bring out the red placemats to make the setting feel more Valentine-y and stylish (take note of the garnish too)! Just pretend there were no cake boxes on the table…. and ignore the falling tulips on the side too.
