Two BIG HITS of 2008

Some of the biggest movies shown this season include Iron Man, Narnia, Indiana Jones, and Sex And The City the Movie. Pardon me if I forgot to add something else. But anyhow, I’ve seen all except for Narnia. Narnia didn’t make it big this year as compared to part 1. The producers claim that this part 2 is definitely better than the first but the problem is their scheduled release. It was sandwiched in between Iron Man and Indiana Jones that it made the movie Narnia unnoticeable to some. That’s what they said… not me. But come to think of it, they have a point. People were to caught up with Iron Man and Indiana Jones that even though Narnia was well advertised, it wasn’t given much attention. So anyway, this entry is about the 2 big hits of 2008 (so far)…

For the past 2 years of watching movies, there were only 3 movies where people gave a round of applause at the end. One was in 2007 – Transformers the movie, and the two are from 2008. No, it’s not Indiana Jones. So obviously, one is Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. definitely made a successful comeback! It was funny, cool, awesome, unique, action-packed, and for the family… all at the same time!

Now probably the shocker (esp for men) is the Sex And The City the movie. I know! Who would have thought that one can compare a TV-series-turned-movie to a big hit movie? Perhaps men (straight men) would not even consider watching it. But thankfully I am a girl and I’m a big fan of the TV hit. I knew from the start that it would be such a box office… hehe! People loved the series and we were all bummed to see it go… So when they announced last year there was going to be a movie, the TV fans got all so excited! So for the ladies who haven’t seen it, make sure you watch it! They have all the latest handbags, dresses, shoes, accessories, etc etc etc… featured in the movie. A fashionista will truly love it! All of them donned fashionable outfits – Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda! There were even several instances that I had to shed some tears… hahaha! Watch it!

Timothy Olyphant and Josh Duhamel

A lot of my friends, including my hubby, often confuse these two celebrity actors. In fact, I sometimes confuse the two as well. On the left is Timothy Olyphant better known as the lead star of Hitman. He’s also “Kelly” from the movie “Girl Next Door”, Thomas Gabriel from “Die Hard 4″, and Fritz from “Catch and Release” but that’s not all. Timothy also stars in “The First Wives Club”, “A Life Less Ordinary”, “Scream 2″, “Gone in Sixty Seconds”, “Head Over Heels”, and “Dream Catcher” among many others.

On the right is the younger of the two, Josh Duhamel. He is Fergie’s (Stacey Ferguson) other half. He is most known for the TV series “Las Vegas” and his popular movies such as “Transformers”, “Turistas”, and “Win a date with Ted Hamilton”.
