Shoe lovers, I’ve got something for you to lust for… How about some grommet sandals from Zara? They are not as pricey as the Demeulemeester’s, the Prada’s, the Alaia’s, the Manolo’s, the McCartney’s, the MMMargiela’s, or the Louboutin’s, but this pair of Zara grommet platform heels can definitely work it! It’s $169 at your local Zara boutique.

Bag Lover is also a Shoe Lover

My Fashion Juice is first and foremost a bag lover. But that doesn’t stop me from loving shoes as well. In fact, whenever I go to Neiman’s Last Call or Saks Off Fifth, I only have three particular areas that I go to. At Neiman’s my first stop, believe it or not, is usually the shoes area. Next stop is the bags area while the last would be the sunglasses area. After those three stops, I go back to the shoes. Yup… and then I spend a lot of my time looking at the shoes there one by one and then trying them on. At Saks though, my first stop would be the sunglasses, due to the location, followed by bags and shoes.

So anyway, let me share with you some of the SUPER SICK-@$$ shoes I’ve tried on last weekend… Apologies for the quality of the photos because they are “spy pics”. Took these with the small point-and-shoot without flash of course.

Breaking-In: Nine West Multi-strap Wedge Sandal

So I previously ordered a couple of Nine West sandals. That didn’t go too well… I ended up returning them. I ordered them together with my sis-in-law’s sandals but her pair of sandals didn’t arrive. Instead, a totally different sandal in a different size and odd color came. Now before I start blabbering about what happened, let me get to the topic first. I ordered another pair of sandals from Nine West. It’s a multi-strap wedge sandal that they call the “Ripple”… and I wore it yesterday from 11 am to 8 pm!!!

Shoes at Work

In my previous post about the Nine West sandals that have arrived last Wednesday, I mentioned that I’m going to return the black Westside lace up wedge sandals because the wooden heel didn’t appear dark as seen in their website. It could have been better if the wood was darker but it’s still fine being light. However, the real reason why I’m not happy about that purchase was because it made my legs appear bigger. It’s already big as it is and making it look even bigger is just tragic. Hahaha… yup I’ve got fatty legs that I got from my Dad. Of all the things… why didn’t I get my Mom’s legs? But anyway, I managed to take shots of the two sandals just to be able to see how it really looks on me. But after taking photos… I guess both made me look fat… hahaha! What’s worse is that the lighting didn’t even help. The shadow made my legs look even bigger! Oh well…

Manolo Blahnik Gladiators and Barneys Sale

Take a look at the gorgeous updated gladiators from Manolo Blahnik this season. The black studded sandals is the one I almost got (sans the T strap, just the strap at the ankle and toes) at a Neiman’s outlet last month… if only it was my size. Gosh. Well, I’ll just have to wait and be patient until Hubby and I get a house. Then I can splurge (oops, sorry hun). Hehe Anyway, take a look at these Manolo Blahnik gladiators at Barneys. And while you’re at it, their 40% Off Designer Sale (trying to resist temptation) is still ongoing.

Zippered Strappy Sandals

When I saw Nicky Hilton at a red carpet event wearing these gorgeous black zippered strappy sandals, I told myself I want that. Although, hello, it’s surely a premiere designer find and it will cost me $500 at the least… So I told myself not to obsess about it for now…
