Travelling to Vegas Must Try: Bellagio Buffet

Posted on September 17th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 3 Comments »

Bellagio Buffet Vegas Travelling to Vegas Must Try: Bellagio Buffet On our last trip to Vegas, our dear friend told us that one of the best buffet restaurants in the city is “The Buffet” at the Bellagio. Take note that this is coming from someone with a Hotel and Restaurant Management Degree, not to mention that he has been living in Vegas for a couple of years now. All I’m saying is, trust him when he says “The Buffet” is one of the best. I did. And I still do.

Our Uncle begs to differ, but I have yet to try what he claims is the best. So let me hold that thought. But for now, let me suggest to you to dine at the Bellagio Buffet on your next travel to Vegas. Before anything else comes to mind, let me emphasize that I am not advertising nor was I paid to post about their restaurant. I am simply sharing with you this lovely (or rather delicious) experience.

Dallas Fish Market Restaurant Review

Posted on March 4th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 1 Comment »

One of the finest sushi in America can be found in Dallas, Texas and is called the Dallas Fish Market. Here is where we celebrated my Hubby’s birthday last February 25th. Going to Main Street in Dallas, Texas was a first for us. Though I’m sure we’ve probably passed by somewhere near here whenever we went to the city center of Dallas. The places in Dallas City that we love going to is the Victory Park area, West Village, NorthPark Center, Galleria Dallas, and Highland Park Village and they were just surrounding this area. But we have never really went to the Main Street per se. Upon arriving, I was at awe… it was like a small New York City – like those posh shops in the old buildings and people were just walking around. Parking was a bit expensive (there were parking lots around that charge $4, $5, and $10 on a per x hours and succeeding x hours). Thank goodness we paid nil! It was late and the parking was free. :) So once we found a parking space nearby, we started walking towards Dallas Fish Market. And it was amazing… Just look at the architecture of the building!

Popular Filipino Restaurants in California

Posted on January 13th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 3 Comments »

Among the many things that made our recent trip to California memorable was the multitude of Filipino restaurants out there. Of course, being away from home for a year (or two years – not counting the 1 month visit), we certainly miss our native cuisine. I remember how I’ve had to eat a lot of Jollibee and Chowking foods being that they were among the few options in our office building… until there came other options like Kitaro, a cafe which I forgot the name of, Dunkin Donuts (snacks perhaps), Ministop (sandwiches, croissants?), and of course, the building’s canteen. Of course there were other options surrounding the building like Pancake House, Picadilly, Red Ribbon, etc. etc. etc. But when you’re too busy with work, you just want to stay within the building – thus the Jollibee and Chowking explains. So let me share with you the popular Filipino restaurants we found in California.

Resto Review: Saigon Restaurant, Baltimore

Posted on March 4th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 1 Comment »

Baltimore is not a city full of Vietnamese restaurants as compared to the number of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean dining spots… The Saigon Restaurant on Belair Road makes up for that loss. Below are some of the dishes we ordered for dinner last Saturday. First two photos are pictures of the Vietnamese Steak. The third photo is the dish that I like the most, the Crispy Fried Fish. The fourth picture is the Vietnamese Fried Rice, followed by the grilled pork, and then followed by another pork… haha… that’s my cute chubby niece, Isabelle. We also ordered Shrimp Tempura and Spring Rolls that I forgot to take a picture of. Overall, what I can say about the resto is their dishes are very well presented and well prepared. I would have to say the dishes are catered to an older demographic. My mom would probably love the food. I liked the Crispy Fried Fish and the Fried Rice the most. The beef and pork dishes were okay but nothing special except the presentation. The location is great – infront of an old style theater. Enough parking spaces are available and the Starbucks coffee shop is just right beside the parking area.

Hubby’s Bday Part 4

Here’s the video as promised in Part 3. This video is a preview of my surprise Birthday dinner for Hubby at Kobe Japanese Steak House. Watch out for the erupting onion volcano-turned-train. Also, watch out how we caught the shrimp with our mouths! I didn’t catch it the first time so I was given a second chance! Drew was pretty sure the cook was a Filipino in disguise. He had that Chinese/Japanese accent which was so easy to copy for most Filipinos. He did ask us though where we’re from. Anyway, I’m glad the birthday celebrant had fun because I sure did.

Hubby’s Bday Part 3: Kobe Japanese Steak

Posted on February 26th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

Going To Dinner It was past 6 pm and I told my hubby I’d start dressing up for our date. We’re celebrating his birthday with a dinner date. Although he didn’t know where. Anyway, I wore a Velvet Torch (a juniors label from Nordstrom) black satin dress with black tights and my ever dependable Juicy Couture black pumps. :)
