Excited for Fashion At The Park

Fashion At The Park, the very first fashion show I’m going to (US)… I’m so thrilled and excited!!! I know it’s not the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York or LA (not to mention London, Paris, Milan), but who cares? I still get to see the collection up front and be able to see the designers in real life. And besides, I better start attending these fashion shows for the sake my fashion site, right?

I’m doing this not just for my love of fashion but to be able to bring to you, my readers, the latest events happening in the fashion world. Oscar De La Renta Spring 2009 Collection

Aside from Giambattista Valli, one of my fave designers would be Oscar De La Renta. I love his designs because they’re always one of the best on the Red Carpet. Remember the eggplant purple dress of Reese Witherspoon at the ‘07 Oscars? And that black dress worn by Jennifer Garner last ‘08 Oscars? So anyway, at the NY Fashion Show, Oscar de la Renta showcased his Spring 2009 collection… and… I love it! Who went to his fashion show… well big names, like Anna Wintour, Barbara Bush, Jennifer Lopez, Agyness Deyn, Barbara Walters, André Leon Talley, Aerin Lauder and Rachel Zoe were there… Check out Oscar’s line below:

Fashion Juice has been religiously posting sneak previews of In Style magazine since March. So why not continue the trend, right? In Style Magazine’s May issue features Carrie Underwood… who has been consistently in demand for the past few months. Ever since she won American Idol, her fan base continues to grow but her body continues to shed off unwanted fats. Carrie is becoming hotter, losing 20 pounds since winning the IDOL. Wow! 80th Academy Awards – The 2008 Oscars

At this very moment, I’m watching (on TV) the Oscars live at the Kodak Theater! So far, I’ve seen Jennifer Garner, Hilary Swank, Penelope Cruz, Ellen Page, Helen Mirren, Keri Russell, Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, Laura Linney, and George Clooney with his date. I’d say Jennifer Garner, Cameron Diaz, Laura Linney, and Jessica Alba all look great! I like Laura Linney – simple but elegant! Renee Zellweger looks stunning. I don’t like Penelope Cruz’ dress (take it back, it’s fab). But we’ll see, I have to check out the Red Carpet photos for the real deal…

Most number of wins goes to Best Motion Picture Winner: No Country For Old Men (4 wins: Writing Adapted Screenplay, Best Picture, Directing, Supporting Actor). Borne Ultimatum has 3 wins: Film Editing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing. Ratatouille won Best Animation! (congrats to Remy and Pompom, este Linguini). Best Cinematography goes to There Will Be Blood. Juno got the Best Writing for original screenplay. Golden Compass took home Best Visual Effects. Best Costume Design goes to Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Best Make Up goes to La Vie En Rose.
