Victoria’s Secret 2009 Fashion Show in NY

Each year, I look forward to this. Come November, they will be holding the 2009 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York. I look forward to it. I am hoping its going to be better. 2006 was by far the best I’ve seen. 2007 was such a flop (in my honest opinion). And 2008 was a comeback for them. This 2009, I am certainly hoping they give it all their best to give a good show, especially that its in NY, one of the fashion capitals in the world. How I wish they put Lady Gaga in there! What do you think?

Louis Vuitton NY During the Holidays

I completely forgot to post about this. I have read in the forums (Purse Blog, yes I’m a TPF’er!) that they wrapped up Louis Vuitton New York during the 2008-2009 holiday season. And as I was organizing my mailbox, I ran into this photo. It was sent to me by a family friend/distant relative during their last trip to New York. Take a look at how gorgeous Louis Vuitton NY boutique is during the holiday season. Love it! They should have done it in LA too! It’s just too lovely to look at. I wonder if they threw out these lovely panels after the Holidays. It could have been a lovely piece of art in your home! Either Louis Vuitton kept it, or it’s already sitting at a lucky someone’s home by now.

Here are more photos of Fashion Juice’s escapades… Enjoy the Maid of the Mist pictures, Niagara Falls, Canada, and the sepia photos exuding that pre-wed aura (in the Philippines, they call it Pre-Nup Pictures but I dont wanna call it that since pre-nup in the US generally means a legal agreement between couples when they get divorced or something to that extent). Indiana Jones Movie at Rochester, NY

Later that evening, we decided to watch the popular film, Indiana Jones… I was so tired and sleepy that there were a lot of instances that I almost fell asleep. Perhaps I didn’t really enjoyed the movie. Shia Labeouf was funny as usual but Indiana Jones was as always… There was nothing new about it. The effects and graphics were like from the 80s… probably to refresh people of the original Indiana Jones movie. However, it did not earn any praise from me and my friends… Perhaps kids will enjoy it (especially with the alien thing going on), but adults, I’m just not so sure…

Rochester, NY Trip 1st Stop: Deer Run Winery

Pardon the pictures: the hair (it’s so windy) and the face… Perhaps the “almost” 7-hour drive has taken all our energy… (not to mention not being able to sleep before the trip because of my many deadlines) hehe… Anyway, here’s our first stop in Rochester, New York (although we did stop first at Holiday Inn and at a mall to eat lunch). Deer Run is a small winery but they offer free wine tasting! Usually, there’s a fee of around $5 in other vineyards but Deer Run offers it for free. We tasted several wines like the Pebble Beach Blush, Chambourcin, Merlot, their award winner Traminette, Cayuga White, and the Max Black among others. The people there were friendly. I learned that their Max Black was named after their Scottish Terrier Max and when I asked about him, too bad he already passed away last year. They showed me pictures though. He’s black and he’s so cute. I love Scottish Terriers so much. In fact I will get one in the future. Anyway, Deer Run Winery is a great place to hang out and relax. The Max Black and Pebble Beach Blush are my faves. Try it once you’re in the area! Check out our pictures at Deer Run with our college friend Mark.

Memorial Holiday…

Sorry for the lateness of my post. This will be short and quick.

(1) It’s Memorial Day on June 26th – Monday – here in the US. Thus, a long weekend for most of us! Plus, it’s Memorial Day Sale! Yipee!

(2) A long weekend calls for a trip, and in just 3 hours, I’m leaving for NY!!! I’ll be back Tuesday with stories to tell… Here I come New York!

(3) It’s F1 Monaco Grand Prix – the grandest Formula 1 race. Don’t miss it. Not only will you get to watch  awesome Formula 1 racing, you’ll also get to see celebs, tycoons, and have a glimpse of the glamorous Monaco! Check out the schedule here.

A Fashionista’s Haven: Mariah Carey’s NY Triplex

How would you like to have an “open viewing arrangement” of a closet? Probably a Fashionista’s dream is to have a closet as big as Mariah Carey’s in her NY Triplex shown below. Fashion Juice was at awe having seen M’s room of a closet but still prefer Alicia Silverstone’s in the movie Clueless. Of course, this is more beautiful, if only it had the rotating rack with a computer system… haha!
