Marchesa Gowns

Posted on November 23rd, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

Lately, a lot of wedding talks surround me :) (Guess who’s getting married? Hehe, you guys know who you are if you’re reading this). But anyway, that’s why I can’t help but think about my wedding day (for our 5th or 7th Anniversary). I just came across this gorgeous Marchesa gown and that’s when I thought… when I get married (for the second time, with of course the same husband), I’ll be wearing a Marchesa (hopefully). :) Oh, and don’t forget the Manolo’s or the Louboutin’s to go with it (but I’m loving Louboutin’s more these days).

Anyway, check out one of the new gowns from Marchesa for their Notte collection. I love the ruffles, ruching, chiffons, and whatever feminine touches Marchesa keep on adding to their princess-like gowns. I’d love to have their designs on a white/silvery gown that I’m thinking for my wedding. Oooooh, can’t wait. In fact, we already have a venue. But that’ll be a secret for now. :)

Fashion at the Park in Dallas, Texas

Posted on October 13th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 4 Comments »

For those who are looking forward to this post, here you go. Fashion Juice went to Fashion at the Park last October 11. The Fashion Show runs from October 10 to 16, 2008. I chose to go on a Saturday not because it’s a weekday but becase it’s when the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund is scheduled.

Fashion at the ParkCFDA is short for the Council of Fashion Designers of America. This runway show celebrates the five years of CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Who’s featured? Designers who were award finalists of CFDA, featured in Vogue such as Doo Ri, Phillip Lim, Michael Bastian, Marchesa, Thakoon, and Peter Som. It was on 2003 that Vogue partnered with CFDA to nurture young talented American designers. It offers financial help, business expertise, and mentoring to the next generation of American fashion desiners. The goal of the fund is to encourange and enable designers to achieve their design and business plans. To your right is a lovely creation from Marchesa. This red pleated tiered ruffle gown with flower detail at bodice is one of the most applauded creations during that night.

Excited for Fashion At The Park

Posted on September 30th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

Fashion At The Park, the very first fashion show I’m going to (US)… I’m so thrilled and excited!!! I know it’s not the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York or LA (not to mention London, Paris, Milan), but who cares? I still get to see the collection up front and be able to see the designers in real life. And besides, I better start attending these fashion shows for the sake my fashion site, right?

Fashion At The Park I’m doing this not just for my love of fashion but to be able to bring to you, my readers, the latest events happening in the fashion world. :) If you’re from North TX, then perhaps you might be interested to go too. The event is happening at the North Park Center in Dallas. So what’s in store for you? I’ll share with you the details below.

80th Academy Awards – The 2008 Oscars

Posted on February 25th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 6 Comments »

At this very moment, I’m watching (on TV) the Oscars live at the Kodak Theater! So far, I’ve seen Jennifer Garner, Hilary Swank, Penelope Cruz, Ellen Page, Helen Mirren, Keri Russell, Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, Laura Linney, and George Clooney with his date. I’d say Jennifer Garner, Cameron Diaz, Laura Linney, and Jessica Alba all look great! I like Laura Linney – simple but elegant! Renee Zellweger looks stunning. I don’t like Penelope Cruz’ dress (take it back, it’s fab). But we’ll see, I have to check out the Red Carpet photos for the real deal…

* UPDATE:

Most number of wins goes to Best Motion Picture Winner: No Country For Old Men (4 wins: Writing Adapted Screenplay, Best Picture, Directing, Supporting Actor).
