They are all the latest lines from Louis Vuitton. Yes, pardon me but it really is another Louis Vuitton feature. This is already becoming a Louis Vuitton blog I know but promise, I will stop, for now. Haha!

The one on the right is the latest from the Mini Lin line, which is the Manon collection. The biggest, Manon MM is $1130. The small bag is the Manon PM which is $840. Now the cute pouch is the Manon Pochette Accessoire which costs $325. I’m not too much of a fan of this new line but the ones below are the ones that interest me.

Louis Vuitton Collaborations

We know how successful the collaborations of Louis Vuitton had been with artists such as Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince. Think water color speedy! Now you know what I’m talking about. Now we know Marc Jacobs is the brain between these collaborations. And what could probably be the last collaboration as of the moment is with Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons. Rei is a Japanese female designer who said that you can see her wearing a no-name black tote. She has resisted grabbing a Louis Vuitton and so it’s quite interesting to see someone design a luxurious bag who doesn’t want to spend on one. However, because of this collaboration, she said that she’ll be getting one soon.

Any how, Louis Vuitton’s 40th anniversary is marked by the release of this collection. The bags designed by Rei Kawakubo was put on sale August 27th at a pop up shop in Tokyo. Below are the pictures. So do we like it? I’m sorry but we don’t. And I think Marc Jacobs wants to say that he’s not happy either. He said that this is the only collection where he wasn’t involve in the design. He also said that it’s getting out of control. This is what he has to say.

“I’ve kind of warned everybody up there that I think they’ve gotten a little too into this idea which, I mean, is great,” Jacobs said. “I’m glad that everybody gets behind it, but what they don’t realize is that I do it at a pace that maintains the brand’s integrity and seems really right, and I think that sometimes everybody loves a good idea so much that they kind of go too far and it kind of kills it.”

Latest Bags from Louis Vuitton

So let’s start from the top all the way to the bottom starting at the left hand side, the Beverly GM priced at $2090. I’m actually not sure if this is that new or not since I’m not too much of a multicolore lover. However, I’m pretty sure they don’t have that much designs for the multicolore and this seems to be something I haven’t seen before. The Beverly MM however seems to be there for some time. The second one is the Speedy 35 monogramouflage sold at $1530. Since this is a 35 speedy, then it could be a great weekender bag. At the same time, your guys can carry this with pride since it has that manly thing going on. The thing however is I won’t be too excited to get something like this because it’s too much of a print. I won’t be able to match it with a lot of prints. Same goes with the next monogramouflage, Trelis bag sold at $1610. Of course, one of the favorites that I share with my friend Angela (hope you don’t mind the mention hehe) is the Vernis Alma sold at $2000 (whew) for the MM and $2410 for the bigger GM. Next two are Lys, $2090 and Jasmine, $1770 - also part of the monogramouflage line but are in denim materials. The next is from the Suhali leather, the Le Majestueux at $2730. The one below it is from Suhali too, the Le Radieux at $3180. The next multicolore is the Marily Or at $1610. I’m pretty disappointed with the latest bags of LV but I’m happy with the Vernis (even the price is quite disappointing)… I would say now is the time to go for Chanel! Haha!

Louis Vuitton Price Increase

I forgot to update you guys, but Louis Vuitton had another price increase. It’s the second price increase this year! Can you believe it? In just four months, LV USA has increased their prices twice! What is happening to the world? And what better time to buy my Damier Azur Hampstead than on the very first day the price increase took in effect… Ouch! Well this is the Dollar Life affecting us… What to do? What to do? So bummed…

Nevertheless, I am thrilled with my bag. I love it. The then $965 bag is now $995… I’ll post more pics of my bag in the future…
