Chanel Cruise Show in Venice

For me, there’s no other Cruise Show better than Chanel. In fact, Chanel always puts up a dramatic show each time, whatever season it maybe. Remember the Carousel? Karl Lagerfeld is certainly a genius… that’s why he’s called the Kaiser! In fact, a lot of celebrities have traveled to Venice just for Chanel’s Cruise Show last May 14th. The Cannes Festival was robbed of famous celebrities. It turns out celebs would rather go to Karl Lagerfeld’s fantastic Chanel Cruise Show than to the film festival. Well, it was absolutely stunning, that’s why.

Karl Lagerfeld Loves I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter

Yes, our faux butter at home is what Karl Lagerfeld loves. The phenomenal “I Can’t Believe it’s not Butter” is the low-calorie faux butter that tastes just like the real thing. So we’re not surprised if the Chanel Boss Karl Lagerfeld loves it just as much as we do.

Recently, Karl Lagerfeld was here in NY for the Chanel Mobile Art Exhibit that I featured at Right Celebrity Fashions! And since he’s in New York, it doesn’t hurt to do a number of campaign ads for Chanel, Fendi, and for his self-titled label. Karl Lagerfeld purchased a home in Vermont so that is where they did some shoots. An assistant told Page Six Magazine that he was asked to bring seven loaves of Pennsylvania Wheat Bread and a tub of “I Cant’ Believe it’s not Butter” spread directly from New York. That was the assistant’s only job and Karl paid the assistant $500 to do it plus the assistant’s $200 speeding ticket. Whoa! Can I work for him? LOL! Seems $500 is just change for him that’s why Chanel bags cost over $2000! HAHA. Please Karl, hire me! I take bags as payment.

Chanel Spring 2009 Show

Guys and girls, one of the latest shows in Paris is Chanel. Of course there’s also Alexander McQueen, Ciambattista Valli, Louis Vuitton, and Valentino among many others. But, as you know, I have a love for Chanel so I’m featuring it first. Looking at Chanel’s collection, all I can see is a lot of “First Lady Outfits” and some punk sophistication. I can clearly see the Olsen’s twins wearing some of the outfits Karl Lagerfeld has designed for the Spring 2009 collection.

Anyway, another thing I’ve noticed in their collection is the latest handbags Chanel has made for us for Spring. I am so excited. I can see rectangular shopping totes that looks pretty affordable than their usual prices. Also, there are a lot of white and black squarish quilted totes… something you can tag along anytime of the day. And have you seen those printed flap bags? There’s a printed floral flap bag, a black and white abstract print and so much more! I can’t wait to see all of them personally. Anyhow, there’s also something that’s bothering me about Chanel’s collection. Notice the black and white print in some dresses? I’m bothered that it’s somehow similar to Michael Kors’ latest collection. Good thing the design is different but still quite bothering if you’d ask me. If I’d buy a Chanel dress I wouldn’t want it to be mistaken as something else. Oooh… and have you seen the rubber swim suits? They are gorgeous! However, I doubt that you can seriously wear them to the beach or the pool. I think it’s gonna be pretty hot wearing those in the summer. At the same time, I don’t know how it will feel when worn. Perhaps it’s just all for show! Well, the rich and the elite have their ways… So my verdict on Chanel’s Spring 2009 collection? Soooo Chanel. Bravo to Karl Lagerfeld for maintaining the Chanel identity. Check out the video of Chanel Spring 2009 show below.
