Today is a day of occasions… first and foremost, (1) it is the birthday of the most important man in my life (not considering God and my Dad of course, oh and Joshua our baby chow haha). Well, it’s the birthday of none other than my husband. (2) It is also Ash Wednesday today. So for the Catholics out there, please go to mass and abstain from eating meat. And if you can do fasting, that would even be a better sacrifice. It’s actually a coincidence because Hubby and I have decided months before to eat at this popular Seafood Restaurant (which I read is a favorite of Beyonce – will tell you more about it after our dinner) for his birthday, not knowing that it would fall on an Ash Wednesday. Yay! (3) For the Filipinos, it’s a day to commemorate the 1986 People Power Revolution who has lead our country to its democracy. It used to be a NON-WORKING Holiday ever since. But in 2008 it was already declared a WORKING Holiday.
