Fashion Tips: How To Keep Warm During the Cold Season

Fashionistas, how do you cope up during the cold weather especially during the Winter season? I like Fall better. Agree? I like FALL Fashion – the layers, the jackets, the scarves, the hats, and the boots. For me, Fall fashion is soooo classy and trendy that you get to wear all those stuff. At the same time, it’s not too cold as Winter where you have to really go for the big and bulky ones. Nevertheless, I still love how one can layer up into a work of art during these two seasons.

During those chilly days, I can definitely say that comfort should triumph over fashion. After all, do you even mind looking fabulous when you’re already getting a frostbite? LOL! But don’t worry. You can still look gorgeous even when you’re wearing a ton of layers or bulky jackets and coats. With the right pieces, you’ll look as fabulous. Let me share with you how some of our popular celebrities keep warm during the cold season… in FASHION! The things that are most important during the cold is the thick jacket or coat, headwear or scarf and sturdy boots. Skinny jeans and leggings are also essential. Now you may wonder why, well, the bulky bottoms tend to soak up the sleet and snow. So skinny jeans are definitely fine as long as you keep your feet, head, neck, body and arms or hands warm.

Weekly Wear 29: Las Vegas

It’s Weekly Wear time and it’s Las Vegas baby! What more can I ask for? On our trip to California, we made sure to stop by Las Vegas. We were there for a day. Good thing on the night that we were staying there, it was one of the Filipinos’ most awaited day – Manny Pacquiao’s fight with Cotto… and sure thing we had fun when we witnessed Manny winning and making a record of winning 7 title divisions.

Before the fight, our friend, Hubby’s high school friend, made a reservation at the new location of Hard Rock Cafe (along Las Vegas strip). We had dinner with him and his girlfriend. After that, we toured the southern part of the strip. I only got to see the north part in our previous trip to Vegas. So we went around New York, New York, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, etc. We had coffee before they left. Our friend has work early next morning. So we went back to our room to rest a bit and headed out to the Northern strip of Las Vegas, Bally’s to be exact, where our other friends from Texas, were staying. We could have stayed with them but we brought Kylie, my SIL’s shih tzu. Besides, dyahe (did I get the spelling right?) coz we were 4 + Kylie. But anyway, we still had fun. We’ll surely go back.

The latest from Louis Vuitton is a… book! And yes I want to get it! Hehe. I was originally planning on getting the “Louis Vuitton: the Birth of Modern Luxury“, as a coffee table book for our living room. But then, Louis Vuitton released this new book – “Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion, and Architecture“. Now I am torn. Which one to get? Any suggestions? Oh wait, let me rephrase the question, any sponsors? Hehehe.

This is what you call luxury, sexy, and comfy all rolled into one. Browsing through the ton of emails, I chose this luxe cashmere outfit from Donna Karan to feature today. It simply caught my attention. It’s Fall Fashion! The black elegant, classy, and simple look is an outfit I’ll always love. But then again, thanks to the vest, leggings and hand/arm warmers matched with the LBD, this dress isn’t too simple and not boring at all! Oh, and did I mention it is Cashmere? I am writing this post after reading Nina Garcia’s 3rd book, “Style Strategy: A Less is More Approach to Staying Chic and Shopping Smart”. This post is actually a review of the book PLUS fashion and budget or shopping tips from moi, the Fashion Juice way. Now, I’m no fashion guru but I’d like to share with you how I try to keep my shopping expenses on a budget. NY Fashion Week: Lhuillier and more

Last week was a big week for the Fashion industry.

First off there was the successful Fashion’s Night Out held last September 10. I was supposed to go to NorthPark Center in Dallas (the closest I could get to celebrating FNO) but it was raining and had to finish deadlines. UGH. But it was chaos in New York. Lots of designers, celebrities, models, fashion icons, and shoppers! Free champagne, swag bags, free makeovers, free fajitas, free bus rides, etc. etc. etc. Oh I envy you New Yorkers!!!

Aside from that, the New York Fashion Week for Spring 2010 started. A lot has praised Gwen Stefani for her new line for LAMB. So who else showed their collection at the NY Mercedez Benz Fashion Week so far?

Mainline Menswear: Designer Clothes for Men

It’s been awhile that I’ve featured something for the guys. I do apologize for that and I’m now ready to make up for it. I came across this site called Mainline Menswear. I seldom find interesting sites that are focused on guys’ fashion. Women’s fashion sites are too common. So it was definitely refreshing to find an online shop dedicated to men’s designer clothing and so much more… After all, My Fashion Juice has a Hubby to dress up as well. LOL!
