Fashion Juice was so busy last Friday the 13th (creepy… but some say it’s also a lucky day). Perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket before going to the “Confessions of a Shopaholic” Movie Premiere Party. The party begins at 7PM and ends at 11PM. But I have to be early to get the freebie/loot bag!

Of course, being an avid fan of the Confessions of a Shopaholic Book series, you won’t be surprised that I am so eager to watch the movie version. And today is the opening!!! Will I watch it today or not? Well, there is a Premiere Party later on at North Park which runs from 7 pm to 11 pm. That’s why I’m not sure whether or not I shall watch it tonight or tomorrow instead. The original plan is to watch it tomorrow for Valentines Day. But the invite for tonight’s party only came in this morning so we still haven’t finalized anything… Plus, our friends here want to watch “He’s just not that into you.” Which is fine… I really want to watch it too. But I am clinging more towards Shopaholic. So we’ll see in a couple of minutes. So anyway, for those who want to shop like Rebecca Bloomwood of Shopaholic, (oh no, not the spending, just the style, hehe), check out Bluefly for the items at Rebecca’s closet…
It’s the official premiere party of my most awaited movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic tonight at T.G.I. Friday’s North Park Center. Spirits and appetizer specials will be served and there will be door and raffle prizes!!! Red Carpet (or pink carpet), paparazzi, cocktails… this is the life of Rebecca Bloomwood… the main character from Confessions of a Shopaholic – the book that I’ve collected for years… Fashionistas will find this book a lot of fun. Just try reading it and you’ll be hooked. I never loved reading books before but this one got me into it. But anyway, if you really don’t want to read the book, then just watch the movie! Anyway, the party is tonight, so see yah there!

How could I forget to feature Isla Fisher on my recent post about Golden Globes 2009 and Celebrity Fashions? Actually, I didn’t forget her. I was looking for her photo but couldn’t found one until I saw one from NY Mag today. I was eager to look at her outfit because as I have previously mentioned, she’s going to be the star at one of my favorite books of all time – Confessions of a Shopaholic! You should really watch it when it’s released this February 2009! I’m just hoping that the movie lives up to the readers’ expectations. Hope that the movie adaptation is as good as (or even better than) the book! Of course, being in a fashion-focused and fashion-themed movie, I expect her to be as fashionable on and off the camera. Haha… True enough, she remains to be as fashionable as ever. I love her dress, the minimal jewelry, and the hair. Great choice. Love it! Isla Fisher can easily be among the best-dressed celebrities at the 2009 Golden Globes Awards.

Oh my goodness. I know I’ve already scheduled my posts until I get back from vacation and I’ve done 1 post a day. However, I just really want to share this news with you my dear fashionistas! My favorite book series – the Shopaholic Series from Sophie Kinsella, has been made into a movie, starring Isla Fisher! OMG! I am so thrilled! I remember staying up for hours just to finish the book in two days or so… and then ended up buying each and every part of the Shopaholic series. It all started with “Can you keep a Secret?” another book from author Sophie Kinsella. Then, I got hooked. I then looked for her other titles and found the Confessions of a Shopaholic. Since then, I always checked at Powerbooks just to see if she’s releasing another installment of my Favorite Fashionista Book! Well of course, after having read them all and moving to a new home, I couldn’t bring them with me. So, I left it with my dear Fashionista friend Lush Angel. OMG Lush! We should see this movie!!!
