Prepare for Spring with Ideeli Red Sale

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 3 Comments »

Spring is almost up! YAY! And thanks to Ideeli’s Red Sale, I’m already acquiring pieces for the Spring and Summer season. But more importantly thanks to all you who have joined Ideeli through my links. You guys rock! It’s a much needed online shopping after getting sick… My previous posts have been scheduled. Good thing I did that because I was sick for the past two days. More on that later, I’ll first show you what I got. I got two goodies for free…

First up is a beautiful maxi dress that doubles up as a skirt. What makes this special is that it is 100% silk… oooh… luxury. I love it. And the yellow popping out at the bottom half of this ombre dress is like Spring pushing out the gray color of Winter! Hmm… cheesy. LOL! But anyway, I just love that I get two ways to wear it – as a dress and as a skirt! Oooh I can’t wait to receive it and try it out! :) Of course, it’ll be on my Weekly Wear! :)

Yasb Ombre Dress

This dress was originally $174 but it was on sale for $54 and then I got it for… FREE!

Transition from Winter to Spring like Charlize Theron

Posted on January 28th, 2010 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 1 Comment »

Looking for some celeb-inspired outfit that will take you from Winter to Spring season? Here’s Charlize Theron showing us how to transition from winter to spring effortlessly and chic.

Charlize Theron Winter Spring Dress Transition from Winter to Spring like Charlize Theron We know how spring is all about bright colored or pastel dresses, right? However, in the early weeks of spring, there’s still some chill in the air. So to easily transition from winter to spring, why not mix pieces from both season? Just like how we did it during the fall season?

Take for example Charlize Theron. She mixes a bright colored dress from Thakoon’s Addition Collection from Fall 09 and used Wolford black opaque tights (highly recommended and said to be the best opaque tights by stylists and celebs) with some black pumps. And to balance the dark/winter pieces at the bottom, she matches the dress with some leather jacket with sleeves that she pulled up to make it look like 3/4 sleeves. Instant chic. Now let me share with you how I’ll be transitioning from winter to spring, care of Beyond The Rack. :)

I have a new top/dress which I owe to you readers. It’s from the brand/label, Industry. I ordered it during the crazy Blowout Sales from Beyond the Rack. Their sales were definitely out of this world. If I’m not mistaken, I got this top for less than $20. And just look at the material. I love it. If I remember correctly the original price was around $60-80. It was definitely a good deal, not to mention I didn’t pay for it. Yay! I paired it with my recent find, the three dollar Givenchy lace tights I posted the other day.

P.S.

Please excuse my hair and face because I had these photos taken past 2 am, after a night out with friends… LOL!

Rodarte for Target Collection

Posted on January 3rd, 2010 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

Most of you probably know about Rodarte and it’s collection for Target… however, for those who are not in the loop, I’m going to give you an introduction…

Rodarte Looks Rodarte for Target Collection

Who is Rodarte?

… more like what? It’s a fashion label from designers and sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. They’re from Pasadena, California. In 2005, they set out to New York with some of their dresses and coats, tagged “Rodarte” – their mother’s maiden name. They’ve shown their collection to almost every major fashion editor and upscale retail buyer – and it paid off. Their meticulous and romantic dresses were loved. Only 3 years after, they scored the 2008 CFDA Swarovski Emerging Womenswear Designer award and the 2008 Swiss Textiles Award. Today, they are a widely known up and coming designer in the Fashion World.

TRIVIA: Remember the 13 year old TAVI behind the fashion blog Style Rookie? Yup, it was the Mulleavy sisters who invited her to their fashion show that got Tavi more attention.

What is Rodarte for Target Collection?

On November 2009, Target announced that it is partnering with celebrated designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte to create the next limited-edition collection for GO International, an innovative program designed to provide affordable fashion created by world-renowned designers. It was released in December 20th and today, a lot of the good stuff have already been sold out – online and in stores.

So I went the other day to Target and most of the pieces left were in XL. :( But thank goodness, I found some pieces in my size. Yay! See that black dress on top? I wanted one in like a soft peachy pink color but they were all in XL sizes… :(

Now isn’t this something new? lol!

I got the blue lace top with sleeves together with a mustard yellow camisole and a matching mustard yellow lace skirt…

I put a belt on it from Forever 21 and matched it with my suede Nine West booties…

Rodarte For Target4 Rodarte for Target Collection

Just foolin’ around… :) I first didn’t put the belt on, but I noticed, the skirt (size S) was actually big on me. I have to go back to Target today and return it. It was the last smallest piece there. :( Actually, the camisole is also big (size S) and so I have to go back for a size XS (hopefully they have one). The lace top is priced at $16.99, the camisole is $19.99, and the skirt is $29.99.

first wore it with my bronze pumps… which unfortunately cannot be seen here… LOL!

here are the Rodarte for Taget goodies I got…

at the fitting room… I loved this leopard dress but decided to go against it because the bows at the back were falling on the sides… it was intended that way because there’s a zipper going through it… plus, it’s $44.99. It’s not bad for a Rodarte dress. However, I don’t have any budget for unnecessary things right now. Holidays just ended, and the pockets are damaged… LOL!!! And oh, I didn’t zip it all the way up so the shoulders/top part is actually hanging in this photo and not how it looks in real life…

Leyendecker Leggings ‘Me Crave

Posted on September 2nd, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

I came across this label from Los Angeles called “Leyendecker” (pronounced as lion decker) while doing my regular web browsing – my daily fashion fix. :) Leggings have always been an important part of the Fall season. And since fall is just around the corner, it’s only timely to see a multitude of leggings popping here and there. So it was no surprise to find another brand such as Leyendecker, reinventing and introducing another style/kind of leggings to the fashion world…
