Come Shop with MFJ

Posted on November 7th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 4 Comments »

Trying out mobile blogging with photos… So far this is my third attempt. I hope this one works. The first two were discarded. Eeeekkk!!!

Anyway, wanna go shop with me? Today was such a lovely day to shop. We brought my BIL and SIL to Galleria Dallas and did major damage to our pockets… Omg this is going to hurt my bag allowance… Although one of the things I got today was another bag. Hehe. I’ll let you guess it first… Will take photos soon.

Anyway, I’d like to share with you SOME of the clothes I tried on today… With some of these purchased. Argh! I am seriously banning myself from shopping for a long time… Except for Thanksgiving though. ;)

So here they are… pardon the shots are they are only mobile shots. Also, please don’t mind those circles under my eyes… I actually have colds and I also haven’t been sleeping early that’s why. So please forgive those gross bags and dark circles. I have to put some Mario Badescu tonight…

Men in Texas Spend the Most on Clothes

Posted on January 15th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

Except for my husband… haha! Just kidding… but true enough, I’d have to argue with him just to buy new set of clothes for him – coz he doesn’t shop – and he doesn’t want me to shop for him. On the bright side, he loves racing (car racing) so much so that he’s willing to buy racing shoes, shirts with racing designs, and caps with racing teams in it. Whew – what a relief. But if I need to dress him up a bit, I just have to be a little bit sneaky. Haha. Anyway, so what’s with this “Men in Texas Spend the Most on Clothes?

It’s a fun short read from NY Mag, which actually came from WWD:

The annual average household expenditure on menswear in Austin, TX is $1,788, the most of any U.S. city. New York came in tenth at $1,108, following a slew of western cities like Las Vegas (No. 2), San Diego (No. 5) and L.A. (No. 9). We’re from Austin and we’re confused. Khaki shorts, polo shirts, and baseball caps don’t cost that much. And before you Northerners jump to any conclusions, no one wears cowboy boots. Maybe they’re shelling out more for the increasingly rare loose-fitting pant.

Apparently, men in Austin loves to buy Ralph Lauren? Hehe… And also, they always pay retail, unlike New Yorkers who enjoy sample sales. But hey, I don’t shop retail either! I wait for the major sales in town plus there are a lot of outlet stores in Texas! That is not an excuse! :)

Rock Trend

Posted on November 1st, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

I know. For the past few days, I’m posting a lot of rock outfits or clothing and that’s because the rock trend is still hot! In fact, it’s so perfect for the colder months. For one, summer is all about bright colors and stuff, so you won’t really see much of the rock trend during that season. Second, fall and winter is the perfect time to wear these outfits. You don’t really wanna cover up and sweat during the summer season right? Third, they simply rock and they’re hot right now! In fact, even Chanel, and labels like Elizabeth & James, Gucci, Michael Kors, DVF, Romeo & Juliet, Elie Tahari, and so much more are going edgy and rocky (hehe). So in time for the hottest rock trend to grace the fashion world, Bluefly collected some of the perfect pieces to complete a rock outfit. I love everything in this collection. Check out the clothes below. Can I just get one of each please? Haha!

Former Ms. MNG Addict

Posted on March 11th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

I really don’t want to say former, but since I haven’t been to an MNG store lately (because there isn’t any nearby), then I would have to stick to the word. MNG or Mango is one of my favorite labels back in the Philippines. I love their tops, jeans, linen pants, blouses, shoes, bags, jackets, and jewelry! Fashion Juice loves almost everything MANGO! That’s why back in my previous job, my colleagues would call me MNG addict. :) Well, I’d like to feature some of the pieces from Mango’s Spring 2008 Collection. For those who don’t know yet, Penelope Cruz is one of their models/celeb endorsers.

I just love white! Great trench coat this spring for just $89!
Another white piece, reefer jacket at $149.

Shopping H&M

Posted on February 20th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 1 Comment »

I went to the mall today and was very satisfied with my fashion finds… H&M has always been a part of my trip. But today, I made it my first stop. Usually, I go directly to Macy’s or Nordstrom. But I’m so happy that I went to H&M first. I was so lucky to discover these great finds at H&M this week! I’ve taken a shot of the stuff that I bought… Let’s see. I got a navy blue cropped linen pants with tie, white cropped linen pants, and an orangy-pink cropped linen pants as well. Also, I got three tops: a fuschia baby doll blouse, a tan with light gold stain baby doll blouse, and black collared tee with puffed sleeves. I also got the black patent bag I featured in my previous entry: Ralph Lauren vs H&M. So guess how much I spent? Just $60 for all these… $29.90 for the bag and the remaining for all the clothes I got! Interesting? I’d say very!

NOTE: The tops and bottoms were just laid out in random. So I’m not suggesting that they should go together. The fuschia and tan/gold baby doll tops are dressy blouses you can wear with a black skirt  or black trousers for the not-so-ordinary but not-too-formal occasions. But you can also pair it with boot cut, wide leg, or straight cut jeans for a night out. Now the black collared tee is for any occasion (except formal). Pair it with jeans for a casual look. Match it with white linen for a Resort outfit. You can also wear it with a denim skirt for a flirty touch. Since this cotton tee has collar, you can match it with light-colored business trousers and a matching coat. As for the cropped linen pants, you know what to do with it! I figured Spring/Summer is just around the corner. So why not stock up on great deals? White is perfect for the coming seasons as it can easily match bright and lovely colored tops! The orangy-pink color is great for that Spring/Summer look! And navy blue… good for any season!
