Who Deserves the 2009 American Idol Title?

Last night, Hubby and I watched the 2009 American Idol Finale at our friend’s house… and no, not specifically for the finale but for a birthday party. Of course, we all know that one hour will be devoted to tuning in to Fox for American Idol. Most of them there were rooting for Kris Allen. I didn’t really choose anyone because after the other night’s show, when both Adam Lambert and Kris Allen performed three songs each, I thought both were good and so I’ll be happy whoever wins. However, I had a hunch that Kris Allen will win. He has the looks – he is cute. He is multi-talented – plays the piano and the guitar. Has a voice. He manages to come up with great song arrangements. He has the total package. His songs were more relevant and modern. Even kids and tweens love him…. But then, I never thought that I wanted Adam to win. I only knew after Kris Allen was announced the 2009 American Idol! I wasn’t shocked because he won. I was shocked with my reaction. Hahaha. I believe that Adam Lambert is the better singer… and American Idol is a singing competition (or am I wrong?).

So my question is, who do you think deserves the 2009 American Idol title?

In American Idol news, we’re hearing rumors of Simon Cowell leaving.

Will you watch American Idol sans Simon Cowell??? To be honest, I couldn’t imagine myself watching American Idol without the outspoken judge. I love his brutally honest comments… because they are sooo true. He is always true to himself and no matter how harsh he may put some of his comments – they are just facts!

American Idol 2008 Winner

Warning!!! Spoiler!!!

At the start of Americal Idol, I had big hopes for David Archuleta. But later on, when the Top 24 started the battle, I knew David Cook will outdo the rest. He is the rocker hunk that Americans love. Archuleta was loved mostly by the kids (which not all have cellphones or are probably prohibited by their parents) and young teens but Cook got the votes of teens, college girls, yuppies, up to the moms. So anyway, David Cook got majority of the votes. In fact, he probably made an Idol record for the highest votes. Who wouldn’t fall in love with such songs that not only would be appreciated by the ladies but also by men. Archuleta has made a wholesome image with his ballads but Cook’s image was greatly appreciated by a larger demography. Congratulations to David Cook! He is my American Idol!

American Idol Top 8: Brooke White

I’m not so much of a fan of Brooke White, but I’m surely a fan of her dress last April 9 when the Top 8 Idols performed inspirational songs. As Simon said, her song “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor and Carole King, was sort of like a “walk in the park” (which was a compliment btw).
