Sorry if I haven’t been posting a lot of fashion-related posts. Well, I have been busy and still sick. Watching “The Event: Pacquiao vs Clottey”, didn’t help me recover. But now, I’m feeling better. I still have cough and colds though. But hopefully, by tomorrow, I’ll be back to my regular fashion posts… for now, I’ll just give you a sneak peek  of my first Alexander McQueen (RIP) piece.  I’m excited to feature it in my weekly wear posts!

I made sure to get my first Alexander McQueen when Gilt Groupe had featured it in one of their sales… especially now that he has just passed away. Too sad… but I’m glad I have a piece of his design to keep with me forever… And what’s even better is that it’s again FREE… thanks to you dear readers who have joined Gilt Groupe. An Alexander McQueen piece is no joke. It’s not cheap. This tank top costs more than $60! Yes, a simple tank top for $60. If I had no shopping credits, I wouldn’t get it. LOL. Louis Vuitton Sunglasses Party in Milan

Style Inspiration: Spring 2010

Last Sunday, I was soooo bored at home… trying to get better. My throat started to feel itchy on the day of our housewarming/Hubby’s birthday dinner so helping hubby with last minute fixes in the house for a week, preparing and cooking the food, cleaning up the house, and then cleaning up after the party didn’t help. I was so tired that I guess my immune system was vulnerable. And to top all that, I got so tired checking out the cars at the Dallas Auto Show the following day. So the sore throat turned to fever, cough, colds, and laryngitis. Geesh! So just imagine what I look like right now as I type this. LOL.

Anyways, last Sunday, I took a much needed sleep/rest. So in the afternoon, Hubby and I were able to go about our usual Sunday rendezvous. On our way home, we decided to drop by a bookstore for one of our fave past times… reading. Okay, don’t get us wrong. Hubby hates to read books… and I… well I’m also lazy to read books until I’ve read Meg Cabot’s writing. Hubby on the other hand, goes to the bookstore with me to read car magazines. Then he started reading his childhood favorites – MARVEL! Okay, I’m goin’ way out of the topic. I know the title reads Style Inspiration for Spring 2010, but until now, it’s got nothing to do with what I’ve just typed. Well, to keep the story short, I decided to read the March edition of Vogue last weekend. And, I was inspired by many beautiful things…

Zara Brown Distressed Denim Jacket

Check out my latest find… and my second ever THRIFT score! Hubby and I drove to the Salvation Army to check out furniture that we can salvage… any decent furniture we can restore and repaint and perhaps add new modern drawer pulls or knobs… anything at all. While we found some decent side tables, we were actually more interested in finding a media tower that will hold our Blu-ray discs and PS3 games as well as the front speakers. And we found none. So instead of furniture, I ended up browsing through the racks of clothing. Until I found this…

… a Zara Basic brown distressed denim jacket with removable faux fur!!! It was such a score that I had to get it!

I Love Marshalls!

The long post that I have been promising you is finally here. Great deals and steals that one can find at Marshalls store – the very reason I go back to it from time to time! I love Marshalls so much! LOL!

While the Fashion Industry’s eyes are on London Fashion Week (this week) and New York Fashion Week (previously), here I was checking the great bargains at Marshalls store. Prepare to be thrilled with these amazing items and prices that I found in my last trip to Marshalls last Valentine’s Day.

Fashion For Haiti

We all know about Haiti. So as much as we can, let’s all try our best to help. And of course, what better way for Fashionistas to help them than by shopping? LOL. I’m not kidding though. RIP Alexander McQueen

The 40 yr. old British designer was found dead in his London home. Apparent suicide it was. Alexander McQueen is one of the well respected designers of our time. His career of more than 15 years has greatly contributed to the fashion world. He was supposed to show his Fall collection this March…

I’m really sad. Rest in peace, McQueen. You will be missed.
