What’s Trending: Back to Class Styles

Sneakers have come a long way in the fashion world. For the last several seasons, we’ve seen it dressed up and used unconventionally. Instead of wearing it with athletic or fitness wear, we’ve seen sneakers worn with skinny jeans, trousers, leather pants and skirts, button down shirts, moto jackets, or even a dress. Being one of the comfiest pairs, sneakers are the perfect shoes to wear to school. Plus, a lot of schools prefer their students to wear sneakers to class. Try Nike running shoes, Converse shoes or if you’re like me, you may want to try some kind of boat shoes-sneaker hybrid. I’m wearing the Sperry Top-Sider Biscayne Boat Shoe in none other than leopard print. Because leopard is a neutral, right?

I love how comfy this pair of shoes is! It can be dressed down with jeans, but I can also imagine wearing this with leather pants or leggings, cropped trousers or even a dress. Fun and functional? Yes, please!

Distressed Boyfriend Denim

Nothing says casual cool than boyfriend jeans. Even cooler? A distressed style. Don’t go overboard distressing though coz school may see it inappropriate. Just go for a little distress action to get that cool girl (or guy) factor.

Statement Tee or Sweater

School style should be all about comfort (and casual cool). Shirts (or sweaters when temps drop) are definitely the most comfiest of tops you can wear to school. It’s plain and simple. But you don’t have to sacrifice style with a plain tee. Wear one that makes a statement, like this HiCustom statement tee. Mine reads Holy Chic! What do you want yours to say?

Finally, a plaid button down shirt never goes out of style when it comes to school and Fall fashion! It’s a classic school print. If it’s early Fall and it’s still warm outside, you can simply wear your plaid button down shirt tied at the waist, channeling 90s fashion. And when you get to your classroom and it’s cold, your button down shirt can double up as a light jacket to keep you warm and cozy.

I told you, leopard is now considered a neutral by most fashion insiders. And it’s prominent even more so during Fall season. There’s something about the print that works well with almost any color. It’s especially great with wine colors like red, bordeaux, mulberry, maroon or oxblood – all classic shades of Fall! And if you’re afraid of wild prints, you can always start with the shoes!
