{Bijoux} Go For Gold… Watch!

On July 12, 2011 by Cris

Well, I’ve mentioned it a thousand times, and it’s probably obvious with most of my outfit posts, I love a gold watch. And let’s not forget the most important detail of it – an over-sized gold watch to be exact! Imagine my delight when I saw Ideeli’s sale today featuring all gold watches at different price points. Oh how I know you would love one too, so I’m here to share with you what I just saw, in case you’d like to get one yourself!

Gold Runway Watches for $22 Each

You are not gonna believe this but these gold watches look just like Michael Kors but they are actually from the brand American Exchange. And guess what? They are all $22 each!!! If you can’t fathom spending $250 on a watch because you’re prone to breaking it, losing it, or perhaps the kiddos turning it into football or babies making it as their teether, then $22 is indeed a good choice! And hello??? Even if you have those MK’s among other runway or must-have watches, this is still a good buy because it can serve as your “I don’t care” but “I’m still stylish” watch. Going to the beach? You can wear this and say, “I don’t care if it gets buried in the sand as long as I’m still stylish lounging in the shore”! Oh I wouldn’t dare wear my Philip Stein to the beach and build sand castles with it. With this, you can!

Look at how similar the top middle watch above is to my watch below. Mine’s just in rose gold, plus the photo here has effects applied to it that makes the color reddish. But anyhow, they look too similar (uh-oh lawsuit waiting to happen) good thing the one above doesn’t have a date stamp.

$60-$90 Range Gold Watches

So they’re half the price of those MK gold watches but that doesn’t mean they’re half as good. These have their unique styles and designs that still speak stylish, modern and hip. If you’re willing to add more than $22 to your gold watch budget but still don’t want to go over the $100 range, then you have here more gorgeous watches to choose from. Now, I’m pretty sure these names are more well-known than the previous one we talked about. Seiko, Invicta and August Steiner are more reliable names if you’re not too sure about American Exchange. More styles can be found online if you’re more comfortable with this price range. I’m actually digging the pops of red in that Invicta gold watch in the numbers and hand.

$100 Range Gold Watches

If you feel like you want more, Ideeli also has D&G, Skagen and more Invicta watches in the $100 and up range. More styles can be found online. Oh, and I didn’t include other styles that have thinner straps or those that come with straps that double up as bracelets too since we’re in the subject of over-sized gold watches and those masculine-looking watches. But well, the first two below are actually bordering feminine watches with thinner straps but I thought I’d add it up here to show you there are other styles available in their sale. If you’d like to get something fancier other than below $100 gold watches, Ideeli has them too.

$200 and Up Gold Watches

These are mostly Jacques Lemans gold watches. These are such great bargains because Jacques Lemans watches retail for $1,295 to about almost $2k! But today at Ideeli, these select Jacques Lemans gold watches are on sale for about $200 to $300! Thus, these are really some of the best deals they’ve got in their sale! If you’ve noticed in my previous outfit posts, my gold watch is actually a Jacques Lemans which I got at a similar sale from another sample sale site. See below.

Here’s my Jacques Lemans F1 Chronograph watch which I’m more than happy to have found. First, I’m a Formula 1 (F1) fanatic and when I saw that Jacques Lemans has a F1 watch on sale at the said similar shopping sale site, I had to have it. This retails for $825 two years ago. The great thing was, it was on sale for $100 but since I have shopping credits, I only had to add a few bucks to get this watch I’ve been using religiously over the years! It’s the most-used watch I have because of the style and favorite gold color!
