I had the best stylist and the best hair care products last Saturday at the John Frieda US Salon Tour 2011 at the Shops at Park Lane Dallas, TX. It was such an amazing day – a free hair consultation and hair transformation from John Frieda? Yes please. And the products? Daniel gave me all the products he used on me and I was more than happy to accept! I had a really fun time at the John Frieda mobile salon and I am definitely looking forward to next year. Here’s how John Frieda’s Mobile Salon looks from the outside.

Don’t you think that this mobile salon is actually more chic, lounge-y, relaxing and classy than most salons out there? I do so too.

Oh, and did I mention the mobile salon was more high-tech than the others as well? Just take a look at this huge iPad – more like a super-sized tablet that allows you to choose a shade for your hair!!! And speaking of hair color, I will be trying their foam color soon. I have been wanting to color my hair and been wanting to try the foam color – no drips – perfect for doing it at home (not to mention the huge savings). But do you know that John Frieda was actually the first to develop foam hair color? I thought it was another brand… but turns out, they all released it at the same time. John Frieda has developed this formulation 7 years ago but has been constantly testing it out and doing a lot of research on the product to make sure it is the best of the best foam hair colors in the globe. They actually released the product in Japan two years ago and then if I remember correctly, in London too. And now they are bringing it here in the US! And while they released it here like almost the same time with other brands, they are definitely out-performing the rest. After all, it’s not just a hair color in a box. Even their London stylists and hair experts made sure they release a high-quality product that will perform, take care of your hair and make it convenient for you, all at the same time.

Now off to the hair transformation. This is the BEFORE photo. And as you can see, my hair is quite dry and dull and damaged especially in the front or bangs area. It is the most styled part of my hair so it has lost its moisture and life. Even my stylist for the day told me that the texture of my bangs was far from the texture of the rest of my hair. The back is soft but the bangs are quite damaged.

So off my stylist Daniel went and started doing wonders to my hair. He first used John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease serum to smooth and tame moderate frizz in my hair. And afterwards, he spritzed some water to dampen it because he was going to use one of their newest products, Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion, which calls for damp hair when applying. The product restores silky, full style and also offers high-heat protection. This is used to revive overworked hair. You know how like Swiss cheese has holes in it? Think about that as your damaged hair and then this product will fill in the gaps to restore it! It is heat-activated so that means that you have to blow-dry your hair after applying this product. And no, heat-activated doesn’t include the scorching sun. I’ll show the products he used on me later at the bottom of this post. He finished off with the Luxurious Volume Dry Spray Shampoo that functioned as an anytime volume refresher!

And after a few minutes… TADA… my hair became super soft, sleek and ready to party! I super love it. Up to now, they’re smooth and tame and feels luxurious too! Oh, and I forgot to mention that they all smell so good!!! Not your usual salon smell this one smells so fresh and clean!!!

Now a close-up with my stylist for the day, Daniel. He is based in John Frieda’s L.A. salon.
