Valentines Day Gift Ideas #2: Louis Vuitton Josephine Wallet

This one I am so excited to share with you. Actually, I already went to Louis Vuitton last weekend to check it out – the latest wallet and affordable at that, the Louis Vuitton Josephine wallet. I was quite hesitant at first… thinking that the buttons were colored. So I decided to go to my fave LV boutique to see what it’s really like in real life. It was not bad at all. In fact, the red was already sold out at the main LV boutique. However I saw the red one in another style, the Emilie wallet, which I will share with you soon. When I went to the LV store inside Neiman’s though, they have the Josephine wallet in red and well, it’s still available online.
What’s even interesting about the Louis Vuitton Josephine wallet is that the coin pouch is removable. You can just take it with you if you’re on the run or you’re carrying a clutch. It’s like a flat pencil case. I won’t be taking it out though because that compartment alone looks cheap. But so what, it really is cheap compared to the $600-700 wallets that Louis Vuitton has. But needless to say, I’m already loving this wallet. It’s not as pretty as the other expensive wallets from Louis Vuitton but what made me love it even more is the price. It’s the cheapest long wallet they have. What do you think? Should I get it? LOL. I know this is supposed to be a Valentines Day gift idea post but instead, I’m asking your opinion on the wallet. LOL! But really, I’m eager to hear your comments.

Went into LV store to check the French wallet in Mono and I was also shown the two new wallets. Before I was told the price I thought they would be around $600. I really liked the Josephine in red because it is soft and flexi and not as long as the other. Who needs more cc slots? I just have a couple cards to put in anyway. I buy cash, not on credit lol!! Anyway, after I was told the price I liked even more. It is not cHEAP. It is a reasonable lux brand price for a WALLET. Anything over this price I consider silly anyway; It’s not like they make few of them, so the price is not justifiable if it’s more than that.
My husband will buy this for my bday tomorrow. It’s not in store in the UK until 12/2 for £240 but it’s available here in Zurich for 420 Swiss francs (£257).
after I decided on it, I checked comments online and it seems a lot of people dislike it BECAUSE of its price!!! Come on!!
I think the Josephine is elegant and modern. Red is best but I would go for blue too. The coin purse that comes out is genious, I d rather not keep coins in the purse as it gets bulky, will probably just keep this in the pocket of my neverfull for quick access ro coins for my BUS TIcket – lol.
LV is the biggest lux group/ brand in the world, surely if their prices were abit more reasonable there would be less replicas too…

Josephine wallet is already available in the UK, nearly bought it last wednesday 3rd of Feb, but i bought the emilie in red instead.

Hi Erij, Yes it’s already available here too. I think a few weeks ago. I was tempted to get it last weekend but I’m going to wait for a few more weeks instead. LOL!

Erij, funny you said it was already available since 3/2, I called the Sloane Street store to find the price before buying in Zurich and it was them who told me it was not available till 12/2. But then again, I find them completely unreliable, had left my details to be called when the Neverfull would arrive last year and they never called. Also left an Alma bag for hotstamping, they called me a week later to say they don’t do hotstamping any more (?!?!?!?)
