Check out my latest find… and my second ever THRIFT score! Hubby and I drove to the Salvation Army to check out furniture that we can salvage… any decent furniture we can restore and repaint and perhaps add new modern drawer pulls or knobs… anything at all. While we found some decent side tables, we were actually more interested in finding a media tower that will hold our Blu-ray discs and PS3 games as well as the front speakers. And we found none. So instead of furniture, I ended up browsing through the racks of clothing. Until I found this…

… a Zara Basic brown distressed denim jacket with removable faux fur!!! It was such a score that I had to get it!

Bag Craze: Balenciaga on Sale + More

Balenciaga City Bags were like $1299 (original retail cost is $1695) and many many other bags were marked down… including wallets. It was crazy. I checked out the sale and scrolled down to see all the bags. But when I scrolled up to add something to cart… ALAS! GONE GONE GONE! And in a matter of less than 5 minutes after the sale started, everything were already reserved or sold out. ARGH!

Well, in case you didn’t know about the sale, I just wanted to share with you… to share the frustration. LOL! Next time, I’ll be quicker. HAHAHA. Hubby’s New Puma Shoes

Happy Birthday to Hubby! I got him new Puma shoes!

Actually, I got it last month but have saved it for his birthday. I also got him new sunglasses which I wasn’t able to take a photo of. He lost his Oakley sunglasses last December and I was really mad. Hahaha. So I got him a new one, from Hummer. LOL. I’m not kidding. The brand is really Hummer – as in the luxury SUV and truck. Again I received it way way back but it was only last week that he started wearing them. As for the “real” gift, it has yet to come. And for those of you who have been following this blog for quite some time, you guessed right. Car upgrades again. His gift will just be delayed for a few weeks but he’s already excited about it.

Today is a Special Day

I Love Marshalls!

The long post that I have been promising you is finally here. Great deals and steals that one can find at Marshalls store – the very reason I go back to it from time to time! I love Marshalls so much! LOL!

While the Fashion Industry’s eyes are on London Fashion Week (this week) and New York Fashion Week (previously), here I was checking the great bargains at Marshalls store. Prepare to be thrilled with these amazing items and prices that I found in my last trip to Marshalls last Valentine’s Day.

Weekly Wear 48: Boyish Look

It feels like I haven’t featured an outfit post for so long. I know the past few posts I’ve been doing are more on shopping and sales. So to keep this blog well-rounded, I’d like to share with you what I wore last night… umm… a couple of hours ago. :p

It was our dear friends’ daughter’s birthday (Happy Birthday Chasity) and we had dinner at her grandma’s house. We’re so grateful to them for always inviting us over. We feel like we’re already (sort of) part of the fam. Anyway, this is what I wore sans the coat. I didn’t intend it to be a boyish look but it turned out to be just like it. I just didn’t want to wear boots or ballet flats. So I ended up with a classic casual pair of shoes – Converse! Mind you, this is one of the “One Hundred” must-have items named by Nina Garcia in her book… and I definitely agree. It’s my go-to shoe for when I want to keep my feet happy.
