Bag to Lust: Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Artsy
I am currently lusting for this new bag yet to be released by Louis Vuitton, the Monogram Canvas Artsy bag! The one shown below is in the biggest size, GM, which will retail for about $1,770. I want to get the PM or MM of this bag. Hopefully it will be around $1,500 or less. I just fell in love with it. This is bad. LOL!
Look at those handles which seem to have been stitched with gold chain hardware. Ooooooh… definitely something new… not your usual chain hardware like Chanel and not your usual vachetta leather handles from Louis Vuitton. This is a hybrid and I want it!

OMG! you’re post just ruined my next LV purchase! i’m going to paris in March and i had my LV figured out…until today that is! I might just have to add this to the list or nix one of the other “planned” purses. thanks for the heads up!

I saw a picture of it in In Style Feb 2010 and called Louis Vuitton the next morning. It will arrive in stores on March 5th. I may take the day off just so I can be the first one at the store. I have been dreaming about it since I saw it.

Hi Diah, oh yes it’s already here in the US too. I already tried it on last weekend but the one they have is the GM which is really big for me.
I saw the Artsy MM in the Cincinnati LV boutique yesterday (2-19-10) and it is everything I had hoped.
The handle is so detailed, the mono actually slouches nicely and the MM size ($1400) is huge, more than enough for most folks. The GM is more like a small gym bag.
But what I liked the most was the interior organization, 6 slash pockets around the outside and one large zippered pocket.
Wonderful edition to the regular line..
It official launched on the louis vuitton website. I am so bummed. I bought a gucci bag recently but i want this so much more. ARGH!!!!! So pretty and I like their josephine wallet. SO CUTE!!

A quick question …. I have read articles in the past that say that authentic bags should have monograms upside down on one side of the bag… is it true? Because in mine it isnt…. and its genuine I know because I bought it from the LV store in Pittsburgh.

Hi Lilmissperfect! Congratulations. I’m glad your enjoying your bag. The bags with the monogram upside down are the Speedy bags and probably a few other models. It really depends on the style. So with the Artsy, it’s not the case.
