Blowout Sales Are Crazy!

I haven’t talked about the Blowout Sales that Beyond The Rack website has been coming up lately. They are major CRAZY! And every time I check it out, even right after they open the sale, it’s almost all gone… sold out or reserved! GOSH! The people shop like CRAZY indeed. I mean who wouldn’t? The Prada Nylon shopping tote for $479??? A Prada hat for $129? Balenciaga bowler for $959?

Dior Shopper tote for $1279??? Gucci wallet for $159!!! Oh, and a somewhat similar Gucci scarf like mine for$359 – although mine is just $119 – priced just like the Fendi scarf here!!!

Oh and Chloe bags for $543 and wallet for $199??? CRAZY!!!

Happy New Year Weekly Wear 38

Happy New Year everyone! Let’s all welcome 2010 with a bang! That’s why today, I’m featuring a party-worthy outfit… the shiny little black dress, blazer, black tights, and heels. Well, these photos have actually been taken in November and was supposed to be part of a series of Holiday outfits to feature here in my blog. But since the last quarter of 2009 has been very hectic for me, I wasn’t able to push thru with it. Still, I got to post it in time for New Year… right?

Anyway, another announcement I’d like to make is that this will be the last My Fashion Juice Weekly Wear – for 2009… and for My Fashion Juice website in general. UPDATE January 20 ‘10: Yes, I will be discontinuing my Weekly Wear posts. Why? Any protests? I’m bringing it back.

My Fashion Juice Weekly Wear 37: Palm Springs

It’s actually odd because I have this vague memory that I have already posted this look. Have I? I’ve been searching throughout the previous Weekly Wear posts but can’t seem to find this one. But I really thought I had it here somewhere. So if you have seen this before (except for my album in Facebook),  I apologize for being so forgetful (Lola). So anyway, here are really nice photos of Palm Springs in California. Ahem, haha, nice meaning great photography and not referring to my look (I’m not that conceited) – but if you like it, feel free to leave a nice comment. I love passing by this place because of its picturesque view. Well, you’re really gonna pass by here if you’re route is from California to Texas. Anyone out there who lives in Palm Springs? You do have a lovely place to call home. The only thing is, it seems so far away from other cities such as Los Angeles, Long Beach, etc. Still, you can’t beat that view, huh?

Weekly Wear 36 + UGG Boots: Love it or Hate it

Here we go again with this never ending topic. No matter what you say, I love UGG boots. I don’t care what fashionistas might think. I’m not saying that you should be wearing UGG boots on fancy occasions (now that is crazy). I’m just saying that I love UGG boots during those casual cold/winter days. Don’t you just love the feeling of walking on soft and luscious carpet? If that is the case then why ditch the UGG boots? Some might actually say how the heck I call myself a fashionista when I actually wear those hideous UGG boots. Well you know what? I’m intrigued and mystified myself. Yes they are big. They don’t even flatter your feet. In fact, they make your feet look big. But nevertheless, I am in love with my UGG boots. Not only do I love the feeling on walking with these boots but I also love how it looks on me – no matter what other people might say.

So why the heck am I talking about it now? Well you know, a lot of people are actually grossed out by UGG boots. I just read another recent bashing of the UGG boots at NYMag.com’s The Cut and Shop Hound. You can read about it here and here. Apparently, they don’t understand why people would line up for UGG’s during the cold weather. Well, I can’t answer that question too. If there was a sale of some sort like 50% off or more, I would probably line up for UGG’s in the cold… that’s because I love UGG’s. If it’s not on sale, I don’t know why I should line up in the freezing cold. You can order online, at a department store such as Nordstorm, or just go back another day.

With the end of the year coming up, almost every shop, online designer sample sales, and big retailers are putting up the big SALE sign. Designers are up to 60% off as the year 2009 comes to an end. Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Bergdorf Goodman among others are boasting their Up to 60% Off Designer Sales while designer sample sale websites are offering Final Sales and Blowout Sales towards the last few days of December! In fact, since Christmas, Beyond the Rack is one of the best designer sample sale websites offering the best deals! I’ve found there a ton of great offers from $20 Christian Audigier watches to fancy scarves retailing for just $2 and up! Yes, they are crazy. And it is as if I can never get a hold of one because they sell out so fast. And when I say fast, it’s like gone in less than 5 minutes! And today, Gilt Groupe joins in the array of Final Sales… I kid you not, this is the best time to shop. Marc Jacobs, Christian Lacroix, Dolce & Gabbana, Nina Ricci, and so many others are having great designer sales. Oh, Toy Watch for $70??? (grabe na ito) hehe… Check them out here.

I love Taylor Swift. If I were a guy, I’d have a crush on her. I love her voice, especially in this hit song by “Boys Like Girls”, “Two is better than one”. So here’s a music video for you. Feel in love. Relax. Let’s stop talking about clothes, bags, shoes, or accessories for a second. Think about your first crush. Think about grade school or highschool. Think about your first love. Think about your first date. Think about those days when you don’t have to think about work, finances, family, kids, or home. Think about falling in love. Ode to Brittany Murphy

Not a lot of people know that Brittany Murphy had been doing a lot of anonymous vocals/recording all her life. She trained as a singer before she trained as an actress. It was only when she lent her voice to Gloria in the 2006 animated movie, Happy Feet, that people have learned about her beautiful voice. Anyhow, this is a music video from Paul Oakenfold featuring Brittany Murphy, “Faster Kill Pussycat”. FYI, this is a number 1 dance club track. Watch and hear Brittany Murphy do her thing. Enjoy!
