Good morning dear readers! I hope you’re having a great weekend. Thanksgiving weekend sales continue to pop up. Cyber Monday deals are in. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? If I were you, it’s not too late to write them down and make sure to look for great deals today until tomorrow. So I’m not going to keep you too long. I know we all have a lot of stuff to do. So here are just a few pictures of our stop over at Valley Wells – a rest area that you’ll pass when going to Los Angeles, California from Las Vegas, Nevada. Some of the pictures were taken at Barstow, California – there’s an outlet you’ll pass by going the same route. We didn’t take a lot of pictures because it was too windy and cold! Brrrrrr…

Here’s my Weekly Wear 30 from Valley Wells. Enjoy!

Weekly Wear 29: Las Vegas

Posted on November 28th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 1 Comment »

It’s Weekly Wear time and it’s Las Vegas baby! What more can I ask for? On our trip to California, we made sure to stop by Las Vegas. We were there for a day. Good thing on the night that we were staying there, it was one of the Filipinos’ most awaited day – Manny Pacquiao’s fight with Cotto… and sure thing we had fun when we witnessed Manny winning and making a record of winning 7 title divisions. :)

Before the fight, our friend, Hubby’s high school friend, made a reservation at the new location of Hard Rock Cafe (along Las Vegas strip). We had dinner with him and his girlfriend. After that, we toured the southern part of the strip. I only got to see the north part in our previous trip to Vegas. So we went around New York, New York, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, etc. We had coffee before they left. Our friend has work early next morning. :) So we went back to our room to rest a bit and headed out to the Northern strip of Las Vegas, Bally’s to be exact, where our other friends from Texas, were staying. We could have stayed with them but we brought Kylie, my SIL’s shih tzu. Besides, dyahe (did I get the spelling right?) coz we were 4 + Kylie. But anyway, we still had fun. :) We’ll surely go back.

Here’s Weekly Wear 29, reporting from Vegas… LOL! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Posted on November 26th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 1 Comment »

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

I still have no time to post my Weekly Wear. So hopefully tomorrow afternoon, I get the chance. I’ve been doing a lot of paperwork and financing. Just doing accounting and financing takes me a couple of hours to do. Yup. Seriously. I’m the one doing our personal financing stuff and I make sure that everything’s covered, all bills are paid, budget for all the expenses are covered, etc. And because of the painful expenses we’ve been incurring for the new house, I’ve been pretty stressed looking at all the numbers… I’ve been breaking out as well. It’s not because of anything that I’m using because I’ve been using them for like ages. I’ve started to realize that I do breakout when stressed and because of dirt too. Before we got the house, I’ve been stressing out on our mortgage company. They’ve been a pain to deal with. They don’t respond to our emails and when they do, they do it like 5 minutes before close of business. So if we reply, they won’t be able to answer anymore. They’ve been like that the whole time. They didn’t even tell us when we got approved. The seller was the only one who told us that we can already close/sign. So during the waiting process, I was breaking out! When we moved, it was so dirty here. There were so many gross stuff left behind. It was dusty, dirty, smelly, etc. So again, break out! Now, we are almost done. But just going through the expenses stresses me out. At the same time, whenever I travel it’s hard. I do break out as well. Going on a road trip for like 24 hours – without cleaning the face and all makes me break out as well. Aside from that, wearing a hat/cap or simply covering my face for a long time – be it my bangs, make me break out too!!! OMG! I do have a sensitive forehead. So when I came back from the trip, a few more zits came out. ARGH! Now I know too well. Have to take care of my face and have to stop getting stressed. Perhaps I need some sleep too… And some fruits and milk to cleanse my body… And to avoid dirt, smoke, dust, etc. ARGH!!!

Okay, enough blabber. This is supposed to be a fashion blog I know. But I just had to rant. Anyway, Thanksgiving is here and later at midnight, people are gonna go out to shop. OMG. Another expense. I have to save up. I’m not going to shop for myself. I already bought gifts for my Hubby for Christmas, New Year, and for his birthday! LOL! I know it’s super advanced. But anyway, He too has already bought me a Christmas and Birthday present. In fact, I told him that Valentines and Anniversary will be included in there too. Wait for the reveal. It will probably arrive next week. :) Going back, I’m only going to shop a few gifts for family and friends but that’s just about it… Oh wait… (PAUSE)… Thank goodness for designer sample sale sites like Gilt and Rue La La… I still have shopping credits!!! Weee! So now, I’ve already ordered gifts for the guys. Now I have to look for gifts for the girls. Perhaps I’ll just have to buy toys later on for the kids… :) WHEW! Less expense. Thanks to all! I told you, join these sites and spread to your friends so you get to earn shopping credits as well!!!

Okay, so this has been a very long post already. I just want to say thank you to all of you…

My Jacques Lemans F1 Chronograph Watch

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | 3 Comments »

A couple of days or weeks ago, Haute Look hosted an enormous designer watch sale. Different brands were available. I have been planning to get a Michael Kors gold watch for like ages. I’ve been eyeing it for years. I know, but I’m serious. Since I was in Maryland, I’ve been looking at those big men’s gold watches… way before they became trendy. Hahaha… I’m not bragging, but I may have an eye for the future of fashion – bwahahaha!!! But seriously, if you ask stylists today what their favorite accessories are, one would be the Michael Kors gold men’s watch – to think that I have been wanting to get it for years now! Well, there are a lot of things that I like – only if I had the money. In fact, if you give me a million dollars to shop – I know how to spend it quickly!!! HAHA. Okay, I digress again. Let’s go back.

So when I found out that Haute Look is holding a watch sale, I immediately looked for a gold watch. I’ve been reserving my shopping credits for the stuff that I like. Ooh, I have another story… but let me hold that thought. Let me finish introducing my new watch. Since I have been wanting a men’s gold watch (preferably Chronograph), I was excited to see that they had on sale a Jacques Lemans F1 Chronograph watch. For those who are new to this blog, I am a Formula 1 fan! I’ve been to the first ever Shanghai Grand Prix in China, and I’ve been to the last American Grand Prix in Indianapolis. Me and my husband buy Formula 1 and Ferrari caps/hats and other small souvenirs of Formula 1 Grand Prix. So when I saw a gold men’s watch that has Formula 1 in it, I decided to get it right away. Thank goodness for shopping credits.

Some of you might be wondering what shopping credits I’m talking about… well, the good thing about the designer sample sale websites popping out is that for every friend you invite, you get a certain amount of shopping money when they make their first purchase. I am lucky that a lot of you readers here have joined. I am very grateful. I’ve already earned a lot of shopping credits from those of you who joined and made their first purchase. So, a big THANK YOU! So if I were you, make sure to join Haute Look for the latest crazy, out-of-this-world designer sales! Check them out HERE.

Now, let me show you my new Jacques Lemans F1 Chronograph watch… I just got it this afternoon!!! Still have to have it adjusted to my size. It’s big. It is a ladies watch but the styling is certainly masculine – and I love it!!! Ever since I was a kid, I would try on my Dad’s gold watches. I love them. :)

So my other story… I just want to share that visualization really works for me. Seriously! I have previously shared my desktop wall paper with my bag wants in there. And now I continue to use it. There was a time that I had taken it down. But ever since I rearranged it and put it back up as my desktop wallpaper, I have already gotten three of them there… the Longchamp, the Tory Burch, and the – toot… I will share it soon! :)

But aside from the desktop, I have a list on my notepad in my Sidebar (Vista users will understand). A few months ago, perhaps sometime September/October, I made a list of the things I wanted to get for Christmas. But I know they were a bit far fetched knowing that we got a house in October; we had to buy all the appliances and furniture (start from scratch); we’ll be spending on Christmas gifts for family and friends; we went on vacation to California last week; and so on… So anyway, on my notepad I listed there a couple of things: Tory Burch Reva flats, iPhone, Rayban Wayfarers, and Michael Kors gold watch. Without even thinking about it, I was able to acquire those before Christmas… how? I don’t know. :)   But they just came along… hahaha. Well, the iPhone was perfect timing because my SIL and BIL moved here and so we shared a Family Plan – it’s cheaper! Then all of a sudden, there was this one and only Rayban wayfarer sunglasses hanging all the way up on top of the sunglasses wall of Saks Off Fifth for just $60+. Then instead of getting a Michael Kors gold watch, I got a Jacques Lemans F1 gold watch (even better) that has an original price of $825 and went down to $100. However, I have shopping credits with Haute Look, so I only paid a few bucks! The only thing I paid for in full is the Tory Burch Reva flats. So there… everything on my list of wishes came true… they all materialized! Visualization is really the key… try it! But above all, pray to God at all times and thank Him for all the blessings He’s been giving you.

Thank you Lord for everything.

Amen,
