Another Forever 21 Plaid Shirt Dress

Since Forever 21 is releasing so many plaid shirts and shirt dresses nowadays, I can’t help myself but get them. Haha. This green and black plaid shirt is more expensive than my previous red plaid shirt dress from Forever 21 (also), even though it has shorter sleeves. I can’t remember the exact price since I bought this one weeks ago but if I’m not mistaken the price ranges from $30 to $39.
The reason why I got this is because Spring and Summer seasons are just around the corner and it would be a wonderful spring/summer dress for just about anywhere.. going to the mall, hanging out for coffee, going to friends’ house, BBQ with the club, etc… It’s a perfect grab and go dress! There’s a button at the sides that holds up the edges. You can unbutton it so as to not make it look revealing. I just forgot to unbutton it in the picture above. My bad.
The great thing about this green and black plaid shirt is that I can wear it as is or I can wear it with tights or skinny jeans when the weather is cold… Here, I paired it with my new white skinny jeans which a gay sales associate talked me into buying. Haha. I didn’t buy it the first time. I bought it on my next visit to Forever 21. At the time he was talking me into buying the white, I was buying the gray one (which I haven’t featured here yet). Then he told me that I should get the white one too. I said that I want to see how the gray would fit me first (because I was lazy to go to the fitting room). When I went home, I was so happy! For a 13-Dollar skinny jeans, it fit perfectly! Well of course it’s a bit long, but other than that, it was perfect! I then went back to get the white one and it was also divine! $13 skinny jeans from Forever 21 – can’t beat that! They have it in all colors – blue, light blue, aqua blue, purple, mustard yellow, orange, pink, maroon, black, usual denim color, dark denim color, gray, and dark green (I’m not sure if I missed anything).
But going back to dresses…
Dresses are so functional yet chic. In short, I call it effortless fashion that stands out! What do people usually wear? Jeans? Shorts? Khakis? But when you see someone wearing a dress… you instantly look at that girl and think she’s well-dressed or sometimes, you even think she’s over-dressed. Some will simply say, that girl is so fashionable. But some doesn’t understand that some girls love to wear dresses just because it’s so convenient. Wearing a dress actually lifts that burden of fashionistas who can’t think of anything to wear! Do you know that it’s the easiest fix if you can’t think of anything to wear? A dress doesn’t mean “I’m dressed to kill” or “I want the attention” and it doesn’t say “I’m better than you” or that “I’m more fashionable than you”. It’s simply easy to wear. You don’t have to worry which pants to go with which top or what jeans will go with these boots, etc. At the same time, if you are going on a road trip or a vacation, a dress would be more convenient to bring. They’re lighter and you wouldn’t have to pack a lot of clothes!
