Recently, I have been tuned to THE CITY… the MTV TV series which is a spin-off from The Hills – another one of my favorite shows… one of my guilty pleasures. I love THE CITY especially that Olivia Palermo is there… Who is Olivia Palermo? She’s one of Manhattan’s elite… also known as the real Queen B of New York.

The reason I’ve thought of writing about her just now was because I came across this comment which prompted me to search for my old post about celebrity trends. Then there I saw that I have featured Olivia Palermo… although it was not the best stuff I’ve written… and I really want to take it back. Funny how when you like this certain person, you instantly change your opinion about their looks or the way they dress. Reading what I’ve said about her outfit makes me want to change it and say that I like it now, especially that I simply adore her style and her personality (probably because I love Gossip Girl’s character, Blair Waldorf). So let’s know more about Olivia Palermo, shall we?

During the summer of 2007, Olivia Palermo was on the rise… she shared (more of dominated) a cover with top NYC socialites Tinsley Mortimer and Fabiola Beracasa in New York magazine. Back then, it was pretty obvious that Olivia Palermo is clearly a star in the making. And one of her quotes included…

“I may be a young girl,” she told another socialite, “but behind every young girl is a powerful father.”

Well, Olivia Palermo seems to be the Real Queen B of New York. She is the real life Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl. She’s as fierce as Blair in the hit TV show. Her style is also preppy yet a little sexy. She’s smart and a perfectionist at the same time. She throws a lot of parties (hmm… isn’t that what Blair normally does?). She also goes to the Hamptons and other places/countries for vacation. And of course, she always gets what she wants. But hey, the creepiest of all is that they kinda look alike! The eyes, the face, the hair, the skin, the color… Olivia Palermo looks like Blair Waldorf or Leighton Meester in real life! Alright, some people really hater her. In fact, she’s THE GIRL EVERYBODY LOVES TO HATE. So I’m not sure if she’s really that intelligent and all that ‘coz a lot of people don’t agree with the thought… but I’m sure they won’t argue with the fact that Blair and Olivia looks very similar indeed!

For months, I have been looking where to find such necklaces because they are just so gorgeous and trendy… they’re becoming more and more popular these days! I’ve seen a couple of celebrities wearing them and I really love it. It’s a great accessory to a plain tee! I’m sure I can easily find those in Manila but in the US? I don’t know where to start! I can only imagine that the high end designers have them but I’m not going to spend a fortune for such. Hopefully someone knows where to get those at relatively cheaper prices???
