I really love this store and love the fact that they can give us really great bargains.

But hey, I learned where they get their clothes from and I also learned how cheap they get it! I was surprised! But of course there are the operation costs not to mention the advertising expenses and so on. So anyway, I’m here to share with you great “fall-to-winter-to-early spring” clothes that you should be getting yourself. I call them my cold weather basics – the cardigans! They are great clothes for layering! It will keep you extra warm inside those coats while making you look fashionable just like this long cardigan (to your right) that I got from Forever21. Check it out below!

Here’s a picture I took… although I made sure to find this black cardigan at Forever21’s website because I know the photo I took doesn’t show anything at all. Hehe. Anyway, I got these Forever21 cardigans at The Grove – a hip upscale mall in Los Angeles, California. In fact, I saw in celeb news that Paula Abdul was there the day before we were there… aww… it could have been a celebrity sighting! Haha. Well anyway, the reason I went for cardigans was because I wasn’t “that prepared” for the “unusual” cold weather LA had at the time we were there. I’m beginning to think that the cold weather followed us from the East Coast to the Mid South to the West Coast! Haha.

While I do have my coat, my long sleeves knit tees didn’t help that much. Thus, I need clothes for layering. Thank goodness for the cardigans! As you can see, this one is an open long sleeves cardigan. I also like that it is as long as most coats because it kinda gives you the impression that you are wearing a coat… I love coats and I love trenches! It’s such a stylish choice to wear for the cold season! It has that intimidating look in it that I love… like you are always dressed up So this long cardigan serves me well. I love it! Oh by the way, you can wear belt with it too!

Now this to your right is another great find. It’s not long sleeves so it’s perfect to pair with a long sleeves tee! This gray one I just got from Forever21’s website. Seems that the one I bought is already gone. Oh wait, perhaps I can just take a picture of my red one here… There, I’m sharing it below. Anyway, this is a great cardigan to use with turtleneck sweaters like shown below (although I think it’s not obvious in the photo, hehe). Anyway, just add a belt to this look and you’ll be fabulously layered and warmed up in no time! Of course, don’t forget the coat as your final layer!

Okay now the last pic beside my red Forever 21 top is not a cardigan, I know. In fact, it’s not mine but Hubby’s. At my recent H&M spree in LA, I got gaga over checked (or checkered) and plaid stuff… but I know, it’s already “so last season”… hehe. Nevertheless, I got this H&M checked long sleeves, tricking hubby that it was for me or something that we could share… hehehe. Well, I can actually wear it too because some checked/plaid long sleeves for ladies are “boyfriend-style” ones. The “boyfriend look” has made a come back last year and can still be seen in the upcoming season trends. I can pair these with black leggings and boots ala Lindsay Lohan or Lauren Conrad among other celebs seen wearing the trend. It’s also a great layer to wear during the cold season because you can wear a white or black tee inside it (preferably tanks or fitted shirts – not the high neckline of course) and open the first three buttons (or four) on top to make a cute outfit!
