Another Great Gucci Sunglasses Bargain

Before I left for California, I promised I will share with you another great find I found at Saks Off Fifth! I’m telling you, Saks Off Fifth, Nordstrom Rack, and Neiman Marcus Last Call – oh and add to that Marshalls – are some of the great places to find designer items at great bargains! Anyway this post is already long overdue…

So one day I went to Neiman Marcus Last Call to look for a replacement to the Gucci sunglasses I got last Thanksgiving (Gucci case to your right was the one returned). Thankfully, I found several new ones there! After hours (yes, literally hours), I finally decided on one Gucci… and another one Christian Dior. Okay, I know I was just going to replace my Gucci sunglasses but then ended up carrying two! So on to the register…

So first, they processed the return and gave me credit for what I was purchasing. Good. Came the “purchasing” thing… Oh no… the sunglasses I’ve chosen weren’t included in the sale. Normally, Gucci and Christian Dior sunglasses at Neiman Marcus Last Call are already marked down. For those who don’t know, retail price for Gucci and Christian Dior sunglasses range from about $250 to $300. Of course there are special editions and designs that cost more than that but normally, that’s about the average. Neiman Marcus Last Call sells the Gucci and Christian Dior last season sunglasses for about $90 to $130. There are other brands there too (if you’re wondering). Anyway, the Gucci I got was $130 and the Dior was $110! Last Thanksgiving, they have an additional 30% off! When I returned to do the exchange, the store sign said “Store-wide sale 20% off”. There was a big 20% sign above the sunglasses area. But to my dismay, I didn’t notice the tiny weeny sign saying “excluding Gucci, Dior, etc…” Shoot! No way am I gonna get this. So I didn’t. I was too bummed. I already returned the Gucci sunglasses that I was supposed to exchange so now I’m left with none. Bummer.

On to Saks Off Fifth… looking… looking… disappointed… and suddenly… a big wall of Gucci, Christian Dior, etc etc sunglasses! There were even more selections! And they were included in the store-wide sale! The Gucci that I like was about $94 (including tax already)! So there… I ended up being happy again. Haha! Well, I didn’t get a Christian Dior anymore because I got overwhelmed with the multitude of sunglasses there. Seriously, it was a big wall of sunglasses! The good thing is, I know where to look next time!
