Actually, let’s just call it a Fashion Clutch! I love that HP continues to create fashionable-looking laptops or notebooks and that they’re not that expensive – just like this HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Special Edition Laptop. In fact, Hubby and I both enjoy our HP notebooks to this date. At the same time, we also love their customer service. I’ll let you in on the details of why we love HP below. But for now, take a look at this new HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Special Edition Laptop! It’s actually called the World’s First Digital Clutch!

For those who don’t know: Vivienne Tam is a world-renowned designer in the Fashion Industry

From afar, you won’t believe that it’s a laptop. It’s really the size of a clutch and it’s gorgeous design makes me think of oriental bags and silk and all that! So why does Hubby and I trust HP? I bought my HP laptop when Windows Vista was still on the rise. Thus the Operating System installed in my notebook was still Windows XP. Nevertheless, they gave me a free upgrade that I got a couple of months after, as promised.

Then, there was an issue with regards to the WIFI of the laptop. It appears that the WIFI cards installed on certain HP models (which included my laptop) were defective. It took several months (or was it almost a year) before my WIFI card stopped working. So when I reported it to HP, the next day, I got a box from Fedex where I should put my laptop in. That same day, Fedex picked up my box with the laptop. Then 2 days later, I got back my laptop with the new WIFI card! Isn’t their service excellent?

But anyway, I found this Vivienne Tam HP laptop while I was browsing at Allure Magazine’s features and I remembered that I need to start browsing for laptops soon. My Dad told me he is planning to buy a laptop soon and he only needs it for internet and for Microsoft Office applications. Thus, he doesn’t need high specs at all. So I thought maybe I can just give him my HP notebook and I’d get myself a new one. Haha.

I need it for programming, web development, web design, etc. So I’m the one that really needs to invest on laptops. I promised myself that my next would be a Mac. But it turns out that I DO NEED TO INVEST A LOT when it comes to buying the software for Mac for the things I use. I need to buy the Office for Mac which costs about $149 and then there’s Freeway (web publisher) which costs about $249! That doesn’t even count the Adobe products I need like Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc. OMG! Now I’m thinking twice on getting a Macbook. Guess I’ll have to stick with HP then. Which brings me to this HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Special Edition laptop – but no, I can’t get this. It’s simply a netbook if you read the specs. If you’re not in the computer industry, and you just need a personal laptop, then go ahead. This could be a good laptop for you. Otherwise, it won’t be able to satisfy the computer geek.
