Go Green this 2009 with Eco-friendly Bags

I don’t really make New Year’s Resolutions. I just tell myself that I have to do more of these or those and so on… It’s not like a pact that I’m promising to keep. I’m just thinking of things that I want to do. Perhaps it could be like my to do list – which I always do. I always keep notes. That’s why I love planners and organizers so much even way back in gradeschool. They know me well as Miss Organizer/Miss Filofax Girl ‘coz you’ll see me changing my planner like every season for as long as I see something better, I’m changing. Sometimes, I just mix the pages together. Like get the pages that I want from this planner and get the other pages from the other one, then put them all in the best looking organizer. Yup, I’m kinda choosy or “maarte” when it comes to planners and organizers (HINT, HINT: I want the LV Planner… haha).

So anyway, one of the things I want to do this year (and I’ve started doing) is to use my new Ralph Lauren Green Bag or Eco-friendly tote for doing shopping or groceries. In fact I’ve already used it on our shopping trip to Costco! Of course it can’t fit all but at least I can lessen my use of plastic and paper bags. And I’ll need a couple of plastic bags too because I recycle them as garbage bags for small trash cans. So this one is pretty good. In fact, this is really big as compared to the ones you’ll see being sold at Walmart, Target, Macy’s, etc. This Ralph Lauren tote, which costs $10 is enough for our weekly grocery. Although, I don’t want to use it for meats and fish of course. I don’t want it to get wet and smell bad.
So there, I hope you do the same. Help by consuming less plastic bags and paper bags with the help of eco-friendly bags or what we call green bags.
One last thing, there is a story behind this Ralph Lauren green bag. I have posted about it previously and you can read all about it here. That time I learned Polo Factory Stores are selling these $10 green bags, I already planned a shopping trip. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I ended up at a high-end shopping area which I now call one of my favorite spots in Texas, the Highland Park Village. Well, the Ralph Lauren there was the high-end boutique and not the factory store. And right across it was my dream haven… CHANEL! Oh goodness, I was supposed to go buy this Ralph Lauren green tote but instead, Hubby told me to get my dream Chanel medallion bag! Oh goodness! I’m gonna faint! Thanks Hun! But anyway, that’s the story. So I never got the RL green bag until I went to Cabazon Outlets last week. Fun Fun Fun!!! I have yet to tell you my other RL finds. Perhaps on my next post!
xoxo
