Yay! For so long I haven’t had a cream puff from Beard Papa’s. I missed the super soft pastry with oozing vanilla filling that’s just the right sweetness… I liked it because it’s not too sweet.

I remember eating one and having my baby chow chow Joshua eat the rest because he loves the vanilla filling too. It’s kinda messy because of the oozing filling so I let my pet dog finish up my cream puff. Even hubby loves it too. Whenever I eat out at Ayala Mall in Makati, I buy something to take home to my family (including parents, hubby, and Josh). So once in awhile, one of my “PASALUBONGS” (Filipino term for gifts you bring home from somewhere), would be Beard Papa’s Cream Puff. Hubby and Joshua love it the most. Hehe.

Anyway, I didn’t know they had a store in the US. The only one I’ve tried is in the Philippines but Beard Papa’s Cream Puff started all the way from Osaka, Japan. It was one of the much awaited stores in Manila… Well, atleast my officemates (who share the love of food) were so eager to buy a box of cream puffs (in different custards/fillings) when the store opened. So anyway, I found one along Hollywood Boulevard! And there I learned that Beard Papa’s have several other branches in California and a few in New Jersey, New York, and Miami… Too bad there’s none in Texas but that’s a good thing anyway, because one small, err tiny, cream puff (the one shown in the photo) costs about $1.95 plus tax… and of course we have to stay away from fattening foods anyway… haha! I’m pretty sure I’ve gained a couple of pounds during the holidays. Well it’s time to go on a diet once we go back to Texas… just a few days more… I miss our home. Just a secret… I still love/prefer Texas over Cali… there are only 2 Neiman’s Last Call in Cali and they’re far away from the LA area… too bad! Hehe!
