Since Christmas is already history, the next holiday we look forward to is the New Year! And you know the trend every New Year? The biggest trend during the New Year Holidays are the “TOP Lists”. Didn’t you notice that everytime we are nearing the New Year, the media always come up with features such as “The Top 100 Looks of 2008″, “The Top 100 Women of 2007″, “The Top 100 Headlines of 2006″, “The Top 50 New Artists of 2006″, or “The Top 50 Trends of 2005″, etc. etc. etc.. So, it’s only fun to make my own “Top Something Something” for the whole week! Oh by the way, just to inform you, this is still a scheduled post. I am determined to NOT post during my vacation. But because I don’t want to leave you empty-handed, I have written my posts in advance from December 13 to January 5! That’s a long break for me! But it has also cost me hours and hours of “blogging time”.

So anyway, for my first TOP 5 Feature, I am featuring my Top 5 Holiday Dresses. After all, you might still find this post useful. If you haven’t gotten a cocktail or holiday dress for the New Year/New Year’s Eve, then you can get ideas from this post!
I love all these dresses and I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like too.
#5 Jacquard and Lace Dresses
Lace and jacquard dresses, skirts, tops and even pantsĀ are everywhere this last quarter! Even the skirt I wore last Christmas is a jacquard.
#4 Bows and Ruffles
Think Gwyneth’s Gucci pink big bow dress and J.Lo’s Dolce & Gabbana among others!
#3 All Red Cocktail Dresses
Well, it’s the Holidays! I was actualy looking for something similar to the first dress below for my birthday. However, I found non that suits me.
#2 The Little Black Dress, Bandage Dress, Lantern Skirts
Classic and timeless. You’ll never go wrong with a black dress! This also includes the most popular BANDAGE dresses (Herve Leger being the most popular ones) which is the second dress from left, and the lantern skirts (right most).
#1 Colorblock Dress
Colorblock is everywhere: Nicole Ritchie, Lauren Conrad, and Whitney Port among other celebs have been wearing this trend over and over again! I love it too! That’s why my birthday top was a colorblock blouse!
