First: The Bottoms

1. The easiest way to go Glam Rock is to wear black pants – specifically the tighter ones. You may not opt for skinny pants but make sure not to use baggy ones. So, you can go for black denims or black straight cut trousers.
2. You can also wear jeans – but again, wear tighter ones like skinny jeans and straight cut ones.
3. Leggings – you can opt for liquid leggings (leather/rubber-like leggings) or go for plain black leggings.
4. If you are not the pants type of girl, you can go for black skirts too. It’s best to wear short black skirts – like those lantern skirts, office skirts, pencil skirts, leather skirts, or pleated ones that go up to the knee or above. Now if you are going for a skirt, it would be best to wear tights or leggings underneath it to make it glam rock. You can go for fish net stockings, or get your mom’s old black stockings and just make holes in it to make it look “glam rock”. Also, you can buy cheap shocking pink sheer stockings or just go plain dark black – as in the opaque ones to cover your skin.
5. On the other hand, if you like to wear shorts, then go for denim shorts or black shorts. Now if you’re going for the denim shorts, I suggest that you wear the fishnet stockings too or rip out old black stockings as well. Again, you can also wear colored sheer stockings for a more ”glam rock” effect. :)

Second: The Tops

1. It’s best to go for T-Shirts if you don’t want to buy the shiny tops with sequins or glitters and all. The easiest and cheapest way to prepare for a Glam Rock theme is to wear a plain white shirt or plain black tee or tank tops/sleeveless ones. All you need to add later on are accessories. On the other hand, if you can find your tees with prints like stars, faces, graffiti, guitar, rock, rock bands, etc., then that would be your best option.
2. To complete the Glam Rock look, it’s best to wear something on top of your shirt. If you have a vest such as black, denim, gray, dirty white, graffiti-designed, or those with shocking colors, then go for it! It will complete the Glam Rock look! At the same time, you can just go for a plain vest in whatever color, and fill it up with pins… if you have a pin collection somewhere in your stash, then pin as many as you like!
3. If you don’t have a vest, go for a black jacket. It would be best if you have a leather jacket. Perhaps you can borrow from your dad or mom or friend? But if you don’t have a leather jacket, you can go for black jackets or cardigans or go for denim jackets. Again, if you have pins, it’s time to decorate that denim!

Third: The Shoes

1. My first suggestion would be boots – leather boots or black boots – something to that effect. It’s better to wear tall boots but if you have shorter ones, it’s alright.
2. Now if you don’t have boots, go for high heels. It can be black or anything loud in color such as shocking pink, yellow, violet, orange, royal blue, or neon/light green.
3. If again you don’t want to go for high heels and you don’t have boots, you can opt for sneakers or rubber shoes. All Star Converse is your best bet! Go for black with white, all black, any sneaker that is mostly black, black with pink, or any loud colored sneaker that you have! If you don’t have sneakers, go for plain black rubber shoes.
4. If you don’t want to go for the options above, just go for something black – sandals or closed shoes. Just make sure to wear something with heels, even 1-2 inches will do.

Fourth: The Accessories

1. What will complete your look to make it obvious that you’re attending a Glam Rock Party? I’ll have to say the most important accessory that will complete it would be the long strands of necklaces. Strands – meaning more than one! Wear atleast two up to as many as you like! It doesn’t matter if it has bling bling, if it’s gold, or if it’s silver. What matters is that you are wearing multiple necklaces with your Glam Rock outfit.
2. Also, bangles of gold or silver bracelets will make you look Glam Rock-ish.
3. Sunglasses – black sunglasses especially the aviator ones featured above can also add up to your glam rock outfit. If you don’t have aviators, just make sure to wear those with metal frames. You can also buy those white or colored plastic shutter sunglasses at toy stores.
4. You can add anything with feather or fur that you can wrap around your neck.
5. Want to wear a wig? Go for Cindy Lauper blonde with pink streaks, or go for black teased hair wigs. You can also use temporary hair color such as purple, pink, green, blue, and orange.
