Did you fashionistas watch the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show? Well I hope you did because it was far better off than last year! The first walk was awesome with Usher singing as the ladies, or I mean the Angels, strutted their stuff on the runway. I soooo love Adriana Lima. Sure, Ale (Alessandra Ambrosio) and Selita have lovely faces, but Adriana projects that beauty from within. She’s got that attitude that I really admire. And I’m really happy that she’s leading the Victoria’s Secret Angels now. She even wore the million dollar Victoria’s Secret bra! So anyway, I’m here to talk about Karolina Kurkova.

There are just two things I’d like to share about Karolina Kurkova:

1. By now you’ve probably heard that Karolina Kurkova has no belly button. Hehe. Well I don’t mind having none but perhaps some people may find it weird to not have a navel. But she’s not alone. She’s not alien or something. There are some people whom at birth get complications leading to surgical procedures. Later on, when their navel heals, it is as if there’s nothing in there but a dimple. In some parts of the world especially in the UK, doctors will automatically perform plastic surgery such that one will look like they have a navel. Nevertheless, I don’t see anything bad about not having a belly button. Still, Victoria’s Secret editors photoshop a belly button to Karolina Kurkova’s photos all the time. Perhaps so that people will not think Karolina is an alien. Haha!
2. Lastly, I just want to share that I feel for Karolina for not being able to go out on the last run in the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Her outfit ripped on the side. Thus, she wasn’t able to go out. It’s already disappointing to not be able to walk with such a dominating outfit (with wings), what more if it was the last run. I didn’t even see her at the end when they all went back on stage and bid farewell to the audience. She’s probably frustrated. The cameras even focused on her and she and her assistants were so annoyed that the cameras were still there to witness the disaster. She’s probably embarassed that she didn’t make it to the last run and she might even be thinking that the dress ripped because of her figure? Well it’s not impossible since I’m sure models are always conscious about their weight especially when their bread and butter depends on it. Well, to Karolina Kurkova, don’t worry because you’ll always be a lovely Victoria’s Secret Angel for me and for all your fans.
