Last weekend, Hubby and I watched the movie, Quantum of Solace. We watched one of the last shows of the night because we still came from a dinner with friends. Anyhow, since it was the first weekend of the movie, I was expecting a lot of viewers albeit there was barely people watching. There were like about 15 people inside the movie house when we entered. Hmm… It could simply be two things: (1) there were 4 auditoriums showing the movie in that AMC Theater so there were enough seats for everyone, or (2) we are seeing the effect of the economy. In fact, the movie tickets come with a free large (very large) soda and large (again very large) popcorn. I’m just hoping it’s not because of a bad review…

Well thankfully it wasn’t bad at all. Hubby and I enjoyed it. The movie was full of action from start to finish. There was never a dull moment. The start was an exciting car chase. You’ll also see the running, jumping, and falling stunts from the first James Bond movie, Casino Royale, that Daniel Craig starred in. Aside from car chase, speed boat chase, and chase by foot, there’s also a plane chase. I’m telling you it’s jam packed with action. However, there is a “BUT”.

If it weren’t for that “BUT”, I would have rated it 5 out of 5 stars! But, the “BUT” is that it lacked the usual James Bond gadgets we always see in previous James Bond movies. Yes, I hardly saw one. It’s like a James Bond Trademark that they left out. So it’s a big issue for me and hubby. Hehe. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the movie. The action and story made up for it. Thus, we are giving this movie 4 out of 5! So if you haven’t seen Quantum of Solace, go out and do!
