How to Choose a Laptop Bag

Finding it hard to look for the right laptop bag? Well don’t worry because I have a couple of tips for you – whether you’re a “HE” or a “SHE”. :)
As you already know, laptops come in different sizes and probably shapes. The popular size would be the 15″ and the 17″ but there are also laptops with sizes such as 14″, 13″, 12″, 11″, and even smaller ones known as the netbook. As for the shape… I know laptops are generally rectangular in shape. I’m only referring to those laptops with extended batteries or additional accessories that make the laptop a bit triangular-ish from the side. So I’ll share with you a couple of laptop bags perfect for the 17″, the 15″ and below, and perhaps a couple of laptop sleeves.
Let’s start with the 17″ laptops.
As you can see above, this is by far the best big laptop bag I’ve seen. It’s a Rosewill bag from NewEgg. Why do I say best? I say best because it will fit all of your laptop accessories, affordable, and easy on the shoulders. My real field (aside from fashion, hehe) is IT. At the same time, I’m a computer/Internet freak. In fact, I think I already have the Internet Syndrome. LOL! And just like me, hubby loves techy stuff too. Aside from the mouse, mouse pad, and charger/plug, we have laptop coolers (very important), external storage, TV tuner, earphones, and headphones to put inside laptop bags. That’s the very reason why I’m recommending such a bag. In fact, what I would suggest, is to get this bag especially if you love travelling. I know you don’t really need all those accessories if you’re just going to Starbucks to surf and sip coffee, but if you need to go out of town, then a bag like this is essential. It will hold everything inside and even more. I actually insert papers and magazines in my Coldwater Creek Laptop bag but it makes it all bulky. Seems that in a matter of time, it will give up on me. This one won’t! In fact, a backpack is perfect to bring especially if you have your DH (Dear Husband) to carry it. *wink* They won’t feel awkward (and you won’t feel awkward for them) carrying your super girly laptop bag and at the same time, it’s easy on the shoulders. The usual business tote-like laptop bags can be too heavy for one side and cause you back problems. This one doesn’t. It even has cushions at the back for your comfort. Find it at NewEgg for about $60. And if you don’t want to bring all those each time you leave the house, get a cheap laptop sleeve to go with it. Thus, you have something for on-the-go and for out-of-town.
Now let’s go to the 15″ and below laptop bags.
Aspinal of London’s laptop bag is a gorgeous laptop bag made of Crocodile leather and Swiss zipper. I’m sure bag lovers like me will surely love this bag. It’s just like a designer tote on its own. And of course, for that quality, we know it will be pricey. Nevertheless, if collecting bags is your thing, then you can invest on this one not just because you love bags but because you can get that gorgeous bag and at the same time let it carry your laptop anywhere you go! Use it for 15″ laptops and below. Also, be careful if you are using extended batteries or if you have a bulky laptop. I don’t suggest getting this because it might be too heavy for this laptop bag.
If you’re always on the go and you want to be able to have a decent workstation anywhere you land, then the QuikSilver laptop bag is the one. For $154, the laptop bag can easily turn into a workstation. It has a mousepad of its one and can be stretched and adjusted to accommodate the 17″ (only if it can carry everything you need). Nevertheless, it’s a great buy and a great gift for your GUY. The thing is, it’s quite pricey. The backpack is still my number one choice for tech and gadgets freaks like me and of course if you have a 17″ notebook in need of a home.
A fan of Vera Bradley? In love with quilted bags? Then this Vera Bradley laptop bag is perfect for you. If you’re tired of the usual black and gray bags and you have a 15″ or smaller-sized laptop, this is definitely a great fit. It is available in different colors and is more affordable at $60. The bright and light will surely make you smile. Enough dull colors for the fashionista in you. A great buy indeed for a Vera Bradley fan. You’ll surely be noticed when you bring that laptop bag around. But if you have a 17″, sorry. I still suggest the backpack shown above.
Finally, for both Ladies and Gents… the ICare laptop bag is here. Louis Vuitton perfects a gorgeous laptop bag in Monogram Canvas and Damier Ebene. I am in love with the Damier in ebony because you can easily bring it anywhere you go. Since it’s a laptop bag, we want a low maintenance bag and a monogram canvas – due to the light colored trims or vachetta, won’t be a good choice. So if you have all the money to spend the gorgeous Louis Vuitton ICare Laptop bag would be perfect! ICare + IPhone + IPod + IBook/MacBook!
Lastly, the laptop sleeves.
For guys and girls, this BUILT NY’s BYO is a great laptop sleeve to carry your laptop for quick trips to the coffee shop. Composed of extra-thick durable neoprene, it cushions and protects your laptop for maximum protection and safely slides in and out of your briefcase or luggage with ease. Perfect for business travelers and urban nomads alike. Best of all, slide it in and as it conforms to the size of your computer, its unique bone shape creates an instant built-in bumper system for extra protection. Its Shark Gill Grips on the sides makes gripping and handling slip-free. There are various colors and designs so girls and guys alike will love it. There are also three sizes to choose from!
Of course, for the princess in you, this designer Juicy Couture laptop sleeve would be the perfect fit for a Princess’ laptop. If glamour is what you’re looking for, then this cute pink laptop sleeve would be a great buy. It’s pretty pricey at $125 (or probably more today), but will definitely suit you if you love pink, love Juicy, and love designer things. If you have Juicy Couture handbags, this will definitely match them well. It’s also a great gift to your kid, niece, bestfriend, girlfriend, or spouse.
xoxo

Hi, it all depends on what you want to get out of your laptop. What is the main purpose of using it? For work or just for surfing the net? For programming or gaming? I suggest looking at Bestbuy.com and search for laptops within your budget. One of the top rated laptops ranging from $600 to $899 is the Asus Stylish Laptop with Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor Technology – Brown/Cream
Model: X83Vm-X2. Hope this helps
