Fashion at the Park

It’s already more than a week but I just forgot to share with you some other stuff about the “2008 Fashion at the Park” event. It was my first time to experience such a big fashion show, not to mention that it’s in the US and that big designers were present too. Previously, I’ve been to three fashion shows of local labels in Manila. And, as funny as it may sound, I was not part of the audience but part of the runway. LOL! So it was truly a different scenario attending a formal fashion show that I get to watch from the second row, this time.
Above is a photo I’ve taken of the brochures and the fashion show publication distributed during the fashion show. For the first time, I also got the chance to hold the “list”… the list where all the clothes to be presented are written down… with the description. It’s like your normal program guide. I was so excited. Infront of me were critics who held the list on one hand and a pen on the other. I should have brought a pen too since I know I’ll be writing it on my site. Haha.
The “Fashion at the Park” publication also came in handy. It features last year’s “Fashion at the Park” event as well as this year’s highlights, schedules, and other important information. It was also there that I’ve learned about a special VIP package. I got a ticket just for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. However, I didn’t know you can avail of a package for the measly price of… guess how much! $2500 for the Uber Fashion Pass! You get front row seats to all the runway shows. You also get two tickets to a private dinner at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek with the designers. You get invites to in-store events. Of course, there’s the VIP swag bag (those free bags full of designer goodies – oh I want one), $250 of NorthPark gold (like a GC to be used in the mall), complimentary valet, free Bobbi Brown uber master class (makeup class), and access to the VIP lounge. Take note, only 20 are available. Whew!
xoxo
