Neiman Marcus Christmas Gifts for the Rich and Famous

Ever wondered what rich people give each other on Christmas Day? They already have so many stuffs that makes you wonder, what else could they possibly need? If you belong to an average or above average class or family, and have already experienced having a hard time thinking what to get your significant other, your parents, your siblings, or friends, then imagine what more pain if you were soooo rich you and your family and friends can get anything in the world in just a split sec. Apparently, I was wrong. Neiman Marcus will tell you why with its Christmas Book for 2008!
Sure, you can always get your wife the good stuff like luxury handbags from Chanel or YSL or perhaps Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo shoes, provided they haven’t ordered it yet. Give your kids a Burberry coat making sure their God parents won’t buy the same thing. How about getting your husband a trip to Bora-Bora (with you of course) provided he’s not having any business meeting in another part of the world or he hasn’t done the same. Well, Neiman Marcus shows us what kind of gifts the rich people give each other during the most celebrated Holiday season of Christmas. You’ll probably be in shock, or probably laugh once you get to see these Christmas gifts Neiman Marcus is selling in The Christmas Book 2008 catalog which is available now!
Are you having a hard time looking for a gift to give to your Dad or Grandpa? Well, Neiman Marcus has a perfect solution to your problem. Over to your right is an exquisite Neiman Marcus exclusive crystal chess set. This handmade Crystal set made in Ireland by the company Waterford, is a limited edition. Take note, handmade. There are only 10 of these made in the entire world. Make your Dad or Grandpa feel special with a gift as rare and beautiful as this. It also comes in a lovely metal carrying case, if your Dad or Grandpa ever decides to bring it to the park… haha! I hope not. And the price you ask? Well, it’s just $15,000 for you! (faint)
Let’s move over to more fun gifts. This one is something you can give to your Brother, Uncle, Dad, Boyfriend, Fiancee, or Husband if they love fast toys. To your right you’ll see another limited edition from the Confederate Motor Company, a fighter motorcycle. Yup, fighter. It’s a man’s street-legal sci-fi dream come to life. It packs 190 mph of performance into its cutting edge carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum chassis. There’s the 64″ wheelbase, 27″H seat, integrated braking system, lots of high-tech bells and whistles, and custom Neiman Marcus edition features. So if your guy loves bikes, he will surely love this. And for how much? Well, you have to pay the price of $110,000 which excludes all taxes, title, licensing, registration fees, and transportation.
Oh, this one’s pretty good. If you love golf, or if your husband, dad, uncle, aunt, or mom loves golf, then why not give them a customized backyard golf course designed by none other than Jack Nicklaus. If you are a golf enthusiast, you’ll know how Jack Nicklaus has become a legend in the world of Golf. So to have that opportunity to get Jack Nicklaus to design a three-hole golf course in your backyard, is a once in a lifetime dream come true. Jack will study topography, aerial photos, and landscape maps for the site, then send his team to survey the property. He’ll create a formal design plan and color renderings for up to three holes and a practice area, depending on the size of your back forty. Your construction crew builds from it, with supervision from Jack’s world-class design team (the same team pursued by premier club owners worldwide). And the best part, when your course is finished, the Golden Bear himself will stop by to play the first round with you, personally. Also, he’ll sign his club and ball for your collection and throw in a custom set of Nicklaus clubs, including a personalized bag. Aint that grand? What you need to pay? A million bucks, in US Dollars, don’t forget. And that doesnt even include construction and site preparation costs. If you’re into American Football instead, how about getting a Dallas Cowboys® Texas Stadium® End Zone Package for $500,000.
Now, let’s move on to your young girl. A lot of young girls would love to ride horses or ponies. So why not give her something just like that for Christmas, except that your not just giving her one horse. If your young girl really loves racing horses, then why not support what she wants. Give her the gift of Three Chimneys Farm Racing Stable Package this Christmas. They will build you a stable of 12-15 thoroughbreds and with your input will train them, house them, select races, enter them in races, provide you a personal racing concierge, and manage the entire enterprise for the next four years. As the owner, you get to name your stable and any unnamed horses, design your own silks, attend races, pose for pictures, give quotes to the media, and keep all the purses and trophies. The price for this package starts at $10,000,000. (whew)
Okay, let’s forget about that racing package. Let’s be more realistic. Perhaps only the royalty can afford that… LOL. Well, if you have a little girl and she seems to be a fashionista like you, then buy her a Karl Lagerfeld Teddy Bear shown on the right. Personally, if I have lots of money, I’d buy one today. Karl Lagerfeld is most noted for his designs for Chanel but has also designed for Chloe, Fendi, and Calvin Klein and many others. This KL Teddy arrives adorably dressed in an exact haute couture replica uniform created in the Parisian studios of the great couturier. Exact in every detail, from the Lagerfeld Eye wear aviators, Italian wool jacket, poplin shirt with trompe l’oeil buttoning, and black silk tie with Swarovski® crystal tie tack to the black leather belt with crystal KL buckle, lacquered jeans from the K Karl Lagerfeld collection, and the tailor made boots. Karl (the Bear, not the iconic designer) is available in limited edition, stands 14.5″H, and is handcrafted of fine alpaca, with pivoting joints, so you can pose him any place you please. He arrives in a luxurious gift box with its own black Plexiglas® podium and certificate of authenticity. It sells for $1,500.
Let’s get to your little boy. Does he love sports? Like auto racing, American football, or soccer? Well why don’t you give him a history of his most loved sport with a special edition opus? These are luxury books full of legends, history, and statistics of their favorite sport. SUPER BOWL® OPUS, the glorious, gory pageantry of the ultimate sporting battle is captured in an 800-page, 20″ sq oversized opus. It arrives in a handmade silk carbon clamshell presentation case and includes electronic security authentication. MANCHESTER UNITED® SOCCER OPUS, at 20″Sq., with special gate foldouts, you may wish you could jump inside this luxury book and punt a few with the soccer legends of Manchester United. Hand bound and hand stitched in red leather, the Icons Edition is limited to just 500 copies. FORMULA ONE® RACING OPUS, celebrating more than a century of international motor racing, this oversized luxury book is both historic and inspiring. A rare limited edition of only 100 features the unique autographs of every living champion from the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship. Signed edition sells for $40,000 for Super Bowl and F1, while the signed United Opus Icons Edition sells for $8,400.
I’m actually getting tired of this really long post, so I’m just featuring two more. If you are looking for a gift for your gorgeous girlfriend or bestfriend, perhaps a Bobbi Brown make up set will do. This Bobbi Brown Professional Cosmetics and Case is a rare deal. Bobbi’s beauty trunk is a Neiman Marcus exclusive, and it is filled with more than 50 premium cosmetic items from her professional line, including eye shadow, foundation, lip color, those fabulous brushes of hers, fragrance, and, well, just about everything your heart could desire. The case itself is a professional work, too, crafted in platinum-toned leather; 6 1/2″H x 13″W x 9 1/2″D. It’s very affordable (for the rich) at $2,000.
Now a great gift to give Grandma is one of those Medieval and Renaissance era rings. They shout royalty. NM teamed up with Les Enluminures of Paris to put history in your hands, quite literally, with their exclusive collection of extremely rare original medieval and Renaissance rings. Back in the day, Viking chieftains gave braided rings to warriors heading off to battle (check out the Queen in Beowulf). Hand-braided 11 centuries ago, the gold ring is a museum-quality example; 2 1/8 circumference (size 7). Jump ahead to the early Renaissance. The now extinct Talbot dog was the king of the English hunting stable. The 15th century England signet ring bears an engraving of the faithful and vigilant pooch; 2 1/2″ circumference (size 11). Check in during the High Renaissance, and the 16th century Western European ring graced a maiden’s hand with a sparkling, mysterious 13mm step-cut tourmaline. It is set in enameled gold; 2 1/4″ circumference (size 8). Each arrives with its pedigree spelled out in writing. They sell for $25,000, $35,000, and $45,000 respectively.
Okay I know I said last two, but I just have to add this. If your anniversary is sometime during the holidays, then perhaps this would be a great Christmas gift to give to your loved one. Acclaimed artist Nathan Sawaya is obsessed with LEGO® bricks. Given the skill and depth of his devotion to his art, it makes perfect sense to immortalize your own magnificent self with our 2008 His & Hers gifts. Send in detailed photos and measurements, then Nathan gets to snapping and BOOM! One-of-a-kind, life-size sculptures of yourselves in LEGO bricks. Selling for $60,000 each. So that’s it. There’s more but you can just go right ahead and check out The Christmas Book 2008 yourself. Oh, and if you’re wondering what I would like for Christmas, that would be a totally different post. Ciao!
xoxo
