Gossip Girl Preview

Posted on August 31st, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

My dear viewers,

Aren’t you excited for fall? See, Fall is not only my fave season to dress up but it’s also my fave season for great TV shows. What’s showing this fall? OMG! Of course Gossip Girl is returning on LABOR DAY – September 1! So to keep you excited, here’s a 5 minute preview of what’s to come. Oh and by the way, PRISON BREAK is also back with Doctor Sarah… umm, I don’t really know how they’ll bring back the dead. Perhaps the head sent to Linc was just some other woman’s head that underwent facial reconstruction? Or perhaps they’ll say it was just a fake. But anyway, the bummer is, Prison Break is set at the same time as Gossip Girl. Other shows to watch this Fall include the likes of HEROES, The Hills (which is now showing), Dr. House, Grey’s Anatomy, and many others! So, happy viewing!

XoXo,

UGG’s Latest

I must say that Fall is one of the best seasons to dress up. This upcoming season, you’re able to wear those fancy coats, boots, tights, and matching hats to go with it. You can wear relaxed and comfy clothes while still being fashionable. It’s not like winter wherein you have to wear several layers of really bulky tops. Think about long sleeves, sweaters, bubble jackets or heavy jackets for winter. So what I’m trying to say is, UGG has a something new for us this fall. Take a look at their collection. :)

The 100 must-have items for every woman’s wardrobe are revealed in The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own, Nina Garcia’s latest book out today. Don’t be afraid to splurge: She promises these styles will always be in.

Well if I ever wanted to buy my next book, I’m pretty sure this has to be it. hahaha! Oh, and if one of your fashionista girlfriends is approaching her birthday, it’s a great gift to buy her!

Evening Dresses 40% Off at Bluefly!

I must say that if I ever have to buy an evening dress for a special occasion, I will surely buy at Bluefly! If you have a wedding, debut, or formal occasion to attend to, it’s good to wear something luxe yet affordable. And a good tip, buy something that’s timeless or seasonless. That way, you can wear it again next time on another occasion with a different group of people. Bluefly is known for all year round sales and good deals. So if you want something designer but don’t wanna pay full price, then Bluefly is the way to go. In fact, they are having an evening dress sale right now.

I especially loev tihs Nicole Miller Dress but this is a less formal attire you can wear to cocktails and dinner parties. Also, this isn’t what I was referring to when I said seasonless. We’ll never know when printed dresses will go out of style but I still love this one. :) The Laundry dress above (black dress) is something you can buy for any formal occasion. That one is something I like, something I can wear any season and any year, and something on the cheaper side of things for just $165.

Louis Vuitton Collaborations

Posted on August 27th, 2008 by Fashion Juice (Admin) | Leave a Comment »

We know how successful the collaborations of Louis Vuitton had been with artists such as Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince. Think water color speedy! Now you know what I’m talking about. Now we know Marc Jacobs is the brain between these collaborations. And what could probably be the last collaboration as of the moment is with Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons. Rei is a Japanese female designer who said that you can see her wearing a no-name black tote. She has resisted grabbing a Louis Vuitton and so it’s quite interesting to see someone design a luxurious bag who doesn’t want to spend on one. However, because of this collaboration, she said that she’ll be getting one soon.

Any how, Louis Vuitton’s 40th anniversary is marked by the release of this collection. The bags designed by Rei Kawakubo was put on sale August 27th at a pop up shop in Tokyo. Below are the pictures. So do we like it? I’m sorry but we don’t. And I think Marc Jacobs wants to say that he’s not happy either. He said that this is the only collection where he wasn’t involve in the design. He also said that it’s getting out of control. This is what he has to say.

“I’ve kind of warned everybody up there that I think they’ve gotten a little too into this idea which, I mean, is great,” Jacobs said. “I’m glad that everybody gets behind it, but what they don’t realize is that I do it at a pace that maintains the brand’s integrity and seems really right, and I think that sometimes everybody loves a good idea so much that they kind of go too far and it kind of kills it.”

Yes, I’m screaming! It’s free YSL shopping tote! But why am I screaming? Because Yves Saint Laurent will be handing out thousands of free bags come September 6, 2008 ONLY in KEY FASHION CITIES!!! The limited edition cotton totes, designed by Stefano Pilati, are the latest wrinkle in the French house’s ongoing “Manifesto” program, in which newspaper-style catalogues are handed out to women on the streets of key fashion cities. More than half a million copies of the catalogue will be distributed in Paris, New York, London, Milan, Tokyo and Hong Kong, with 5,000 in each city tucked into the black or white totes. Emphasizing YSL’s ready-to-wear, this season’s Manifesto features Naomi Campbell in fall-winter designs, photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
